Today, we watched a movie in French class. I went on a French exchange last year, so I wanted to sound all impressive and cultured for my crush who is in the same class. I said that it was my favorite movie and I couldn't wait to watch it with everyone. The movie turned out to be about incest. FML

Today, I was giving my crush a lift home from a mutual friend's house. When he got in the car, my mom asked in French, "Is this the guy you won't stop talking about? You can do so much better!" Of all the things I've told about him to my mom, I forgot to mention he's French as well. FML

#55 not every single French movie is ****** up or about incest, you've probably watched some kind of conceited avant-garde or experimental films. Try to watch "Le dîner de cons" : (the jackasses' dinner ) a very funny movie about some guys who invite jackasses at a dinner to make fun of them, the one who invited the biggest jackass wins (it has been doubled in English); you can also try "0SS 117 Le Caire nid d'espion" (in French but with subtitles) with Jean Dujardin, it's awesome and politically incorrect.

"Le diner de cons" is awesom but "oss 117" is for an informed audience. I didn't like. But please not watch "Bienvenu chez les ch'ti" and resume french cinema in that, 'cause it's a crap.

#55 I'm glad Le dîner de con has been translated, it's a great and funny movie ! You should also try "La Môme" (I don't know the English title), a film about Edith Piaf that received several awards.
