Today, my friend had invited me to his home for a movie night with another friend. I had to decline because I have prior plans. He then revealed that they only wanted me there so I could bring DVDs, but "don't worry, we'll find something on Netflix to watch instead." FML

Today, I was watching a movie that had a mild sex scene in it. My mother walked in just as that scene was starting and she flipped out. I'm now grounded. She's taken my TV and laptop out of my room and refuses to let me see my boyfriend because she's sure he's the cause of my "disgusting behaviour". FML

Today, my dad lectured me because my mom cried herself to sleep last night. Why? Because I didn't want to watch a movie with her. I had to go to sleep to be up for work at 6 a.m., and was too tired to watch a movie in the first place. I live with drama queens. FML

Movies are inspired by true events. True events are inspired by movies. If you don't understand what I am trying to say, then you are clearly not sensible enough to even step out the front door.

Actually it's not just a movie. If you look it up, parts of that movie were based on true events. Hostel's are real, and people get kidnapped everyday. Human trafficking is a big deal, you should listen to your dad.

Taken may be a movie, but kidnappings like that do actually happen, probably more often than people would like to think about. I mean, yeah, it sucks that he doesn't want to you to go, because it would be an amazing trip, I'm sure. But he's looking out for you.
