He didn't mean it in a rude way, he probably thought you really did get punched! I know how it feels, I have dark circles that are so bad, people ask how I got my black eyes. He was just used to the you with makeup on! But in time I'm sure he'll get used to it, and he'll think you're beautiful just the way you are ;)

I think it'd be the other way around for me. I have never worn makeup and people would think I looked weird with it.

He was just looking out for her, making sure she wasn't hurt. He probably would've tried to find out who hit her so that he could hit whoever hit her.
