Today, after having spent days working on it, I finished off a really elaborate seasonal greetings card for my boss. When I gave it to him, he took one look at it, flicked it in his trash can and said, "Fuck off, Steve." So much for a Christmas bonus. FML

If you are doing it as a friendly gesture, to be nice then yeah fyl. But that last part about not getting a Christmas bonus shows that your motive behind it was to kiss up in order to be on your boss favorable side... so yeah you def deserve it. Try earning that bonus instead of kissing up for it.
