Today, while trying to have a serious conversation with my husband about his drug use over text, he came home. Drunk. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, my husband came home drunk off his ass at 2am. He started crying on my shoulder because he couldn't go home with some beautiful woman who hit on him, because sadly for him, he's married to me. FML
Today, I was texting my boyfriend about yesterday, where he told me how much he loved me, and he wishes we lived closer. I asked him if he really meant it. Turns out he was drunk, and had no idea what he was talking about. FML
Explain yourself
Today, I received a text message from my wife, who had gone out for the evening with some girlfriends, saying, "I have to take a friend home, she's drunk! I'll be staying at his place. Call you in the morning." Umm… His? FML
Today, the guy I've been sleeping with for the last three weeks got really drunk. I drove him home from the party and took care of him. At 2am he asked for the phone. When I asked what for, he said he wanted to drunk dial his girlfriend. FML
Party animal
Today, my husband woke up, tried walking to the bathroom, fell down, got back up and started peeing on the carpet. I’ve never seen him this drunk before. FML
Girl…
Today, I got a text message. It said, "I'm so drunk. What you up to, girl?" It was my dad. FML
Wait for the hangover
Today, my husband came home late from drinking with his buddies, only to toss and turn and keep me up for an hour. He then sat up and didn't move for a few minutes. I sat up to see what was wrong, only to see him pissing on the carpet beside our bed. FML
Today, I found out I'm pregnant. My husband reacted by going out and smoking weed, then getting completely shitfaced, and having his buddies drag his nearly-comatose carcass back home from a strip club. FML
Dude, chill out
Today, my friend got a text showing his girlfriend cheating on him. Sounds like his FML, but he was at my house. He then worked his way through a bottle of my whisky and went into a drunken rage. He threw my furniture through windows, punched holes in the wall, and smashed stuff until I had to call the cops. FML
Today, I drunk texted a guy I like. We'd met at an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting. FML

Just because he was drunk doesn't mean he wasn't high. This couple has huge issues that shouldn't be addressed through texting!

I mean if your were texting him and he was getting drunk wouldn't you have been able to assume that he was drunk by all the mispelled words in his text messages? Unless of course he is an expert at drunk texting..

autocorrect ftw!

The OP didn't say exactly how drunk her husband was, just that he was drunk, so it could be that he wasn't drunk enough yet for his spelling to be affected. I know that I have a couple friends who can continue to type/write/text with correct spelling until the point where they are fall down the stairs and laugh about it style drunk.

yeah I agree YDI as you don't have a "serious conversation" through text that's stupid

I don't believe it. I would have thought he would have come home a changed man after a couple texts. I'm not going to flat-out say it, but the details of this FML might not be 100% accurate.

I'm sorry OP that sucks I hope you two manage to work things out, good luck. At least this way you can have a serious conversation with him face to face when he sobers up.

He drinks because your moan at him about his drug use... He takes drugs because your a bitch. Either that or as a substitute for the lack of sex you give him.... Just speculation of course though. ;-)

He must really not be able to stand you. I used to be a pothead but whenever I was around my boyfriend (now husband) I wanted to savor the moment and really enjoy being with him. I quit without a second thought. He obviously needs help but you should have a serious conversation about where your relationship is really headed.

if you're an addict, it doesn't matter who is around. sad but true. :/

27, you were obviously not properly addicted to it.

Whats sad is the negative cogitation of the word addict. I bet you think that all addicts are washed up, wastes of spaces that can't do anything apart from worry about how they are going to get their next fix. A 30something year old stoner loser still living in his parents basement. Or a drunk who is always in the bar. The crack ***** sucking a fat one for a few dollars.. That sort of thing. When the truth is that these days a vast majority of people are actually addicts in one form or another. People who can't get up in the morning without that first cup of coffee... or that first cigarette. People that can't go more than 5 minutes without tweeting or checking their friends status updates on Facebook. So while yes, I suppose your statement is true. If you are an addict it doesn't matter who you are with addicts are not just exclusive to drunks and drug users. And many of them are functioning members of society. Not the outdatted image of the "addict" you are implying.

I didn't write the word addict once. I honestly didn't intend on coming off like an ass. I just meant that if you have enough will power and enough support you can get through it. And when I smoked I did so because I wasn't happy, and so did a lot of the people I did it with whether they admitted it or not. And I smoked weed and cigarettes a few times a day for four years. I don't get what 'properly addicted' means, I was dependent on it but when I truly willed it away I stopped.

Sorry. I was referring to #34. Not you.
Jimboom 12
Anyway, the point I was trying to make was that people need to get rid of this outdated cogitation of an addict. It is very difficult to live in the modern age these days without being addicted to something. And not every person who enjoys a little puff every now and again or a drink once in a while is an addict.

jimboom, I agree with you 100%!

Slightly off topic, but marijuana isn't addictive to begin with.
Jimboom 12
True #59. I agree with you that it isn't addictive. But people can get addicted to anything. So while the substance itself isn't physically addictive, people can get "addicted" so to speak to the ritual of it, or the act itself. Facebook is just a website.. but people can be addicted to that. Sex is just an act of reproduction.. but people can get addicted to it. Playing video games is just the act of bashing buttons... I think you see where I am going with this. ;-)

I think that what people are actually addicted to, when addicted to sex, is the endorphin rush from the pleasure of it. That is why many sex addicts also tend to ********** a hell of a lot. It is same way that some people get addicted to the rush of adrenalin that comes from doing things like sky diving, bungee jumping, or just something pointlessly dangerous. It's not an addiction to the act itself in those two cases but an addiction to the rush of chemicals created by their own brain because of the act.
