Today, thanks to my wife's confession, I found out that the 14 year old child I've raised since I was 16 isn't related to me at all. But at least this narrows the real father down to one of three other guys. FML

The boy is mine
Today, I found out that I’m not the father of my “son” but I'm his uncle. The only thing my wife did was to shrug and say, “Shit happens.” FML
Today, I found out who the father of my sister's 4 year old son is. My husband of 7 years. FML

Three is a magic number

Today, the paternity test came back. It's like I suspected all along; my "son" is actually my half-brother. FML
That's so sick!
Today, I found out my wife of 5 years, with whom we have three kids, is actually my cousin. At a family dinner someone had pointed out how much she looks like my uncle. We laughed until she mentioned that she was adopted from the same town my uncle's ex-wife had a baby. A few questions and a blood test later, we all learned the sick truth. FML
Family coincidence
Today with a DNA test, I found out that my husband is my half brother. 30 years ago his father made a donation to the sperm bank my mother used, and I’m the result. To make matters worse, I’m pregnant. FML

Your stupid......of course he didn't plan on getting a girl pregnant at 16 who in the hell would plan on getting a girl pregnant at 16 accidents do happen...condoms do break. Maybe the ho is better at lying than he thinks and she got pregnant while "taking" the pill? Think about that. Don't be a bitch and tell him its his fault because of an accident.

Obviously, he didn't have a kid at 16. That's the main ******* point of the FML. He did, however, step up and raised the kid when he thought it was his, instead of running away like so many other guys, so he deserves credit for that.

Kudos to you for being so dedicated to him/her though. At least you're a good man, even if she's a cheater and a liar.

I'm sure that after 14 years your love for this child is just as strong as it would be if you were the child's biological father. You do need to consider that sad reality, however, that if you leave the child's mother, you will not be entitled to visitation or custody of the child. The biological father needs to be determined, he may want to sign over his rights to the child, therefore allowing you to adopt him/her. This is a very sad situation for both you and the child.

If he signed the birth certificate than he will have visitation rights. Just like she can get him for child support if he leaves. It was on the news recently.
