Today, thanks to my wife's confession, I found out that the 14 year old child I've raised since I was 16 isn't related to me at all. But at least this narrows the real father down to one of three other guys. FML

That's so sick!
Today, I found out my wife of 5 years, with whom we have three kids, is actually my cousin. At a family dinner someone had pointed out how much she looks like my uncle. We laughed until she mentioned that she was adopted from the same town my uncle's ex-wife had a baby. A few questions and a blood test later, we all learned the sick truth. FML

Today with a DNA test, I found out that my husband is my half brother. 30 years ago his father made a donation to the sperm bank my mother used, and I’m the result. To make matters worse, I’m pregnant. FML

Well, if you raised a child for 14 years i would say the blood-relation shouldnt matter.

I'm sorry but maybe I am misreading this. You say yo have raised a 14 yr old since 16. Wouldnt that make you 2 yrs old when yo had the child?
pandora_geass 9
Yeah, that's how I read it at first, too. But OP is saying that when he was 16, he started taking care of his baby, and he's had this child for 14 years (now the son/daughter's 14 years old).
ToughGirl 0
No! -,- The child was born when op was 16 -.-

So sad, someone had to explain this.
pandora_geass 9
19, why is my explanation wrong? "when he was 16, he started taking care of his baby, and he's had this child for 14 years (now the son/daughter's 14 years old).". How is that wrong? OK, "he started taking care of the baby" MAY have implied that he wasn't the one to start taking care of the baby, but "he's had this child for 14 years now (now the son/daughter's 14 years old" should have cleared that up.

No I presume it's more as follows: 16 (OPs age when the child was born) + 14 child's age at present = 30 OPs age today. I really hope this helps you...

u r the idiot.. it means he got her knocked up when he was 16 and now hes 30

90, I wrote my comment before I read yours! my "NO" was for 50 not you. btw...with all the -ves on 50 why do OUR comments have to get berried...it's unfair :p
noornia 6
No the OP was 16 when the kid was born, so since the kid is now 14 that would make the OP 30 if I'm not mistaken
dkainjr 0
15. Your an idiot, it would make him 30...
SkateboardGirl88 11
no.. he raised the kid since he was 16. pretty straight forward...
youngbuck10 9
Jesus. The kid was birthed when OP was 16, and the kid is now 14. *facepalm*
kiarax33 0
no it makes him 30, and the child 14 -_-
BloodyDraven 0
yes, as of this moment, OP is 30 y/o

114 he didn't get her knocked up. That's the point of the whole story

While it sucks that her lie has ended with you raising a child that isn't your own and putting an end to your carefree teen years, ask yourself if you love that child any less. After 14 years, whether or not you're the father, you are that kid's Dad and the only Dad they've ever known. No matter what your wife has done, it would be unfair for you to just drop out of that child's life now. I do suggest you find out who the real father is if you can. Family health history is important, as is making sure your kid doesn't inadvertently end up dating a half-sibling. That would be embarrassing.
EvilDave 13
No, it would not be unfair. What was unfair was the mother tricking him. He is simply righting a wrong and ending 14 years of slavery.
snazzy_247 0
Having a child is not slavery. Ask most teen parents when they are adults and they will NEVER call having a kid slavery. If they do then they don't love their child.
Sketchisan 27
The guy had the kid at sixteen and the kid is fourteen now. Yeesh.
VasilisaUzhasnaj 29
And now OP is 30. Maths!

I wonder how old the mother was at conception. Maybe he's facing a potential rape charge on top of this other shit.

That's pretty bad man, a lot of good years gone... I feel for ya.

Even if your daughter isn't your biological daughter she still is and will still see you in her eyes as her father. Don't worry too much mate :)
MangoRico1 1
Your a good person, so this really shouldn't change how you feel for the child... As for your wife time to heave that hoe!

She choose you because you were the best of other three potentiali fathers.
EvilDave 13
But, he wasn't the father and has been treated like his life and desires have no value. He was treated like a slave. The bitch ****** four guys and should have taken the one that got her pregnant, even if he was an abusive, drug addicted jackass. You lie with dogs, you get up with fleas.
VasilisaUzhasnaj 29
Dude, you are like the most chauvinistic and retarded ass goblin I have ever heard.
xXshadowrollerXx 6
55 - She should stay with the guy who got her pregnant? Suppose OP's wife was raped while dating OP? Oh, I guess she should just stay with the rapist then, rather than raise a child with the OP? There's not enough detail given, so don't call OP's wife a ****, and don't call OP a slave. He never mentioned being unhappy with his marriage, rather his recent discovery. Asshole.

There is a difference in a dad and a father. You are that kids dad which is an honor
EvilDave 13
It is not an honor to be tricked into raising another man's child. It is not an honor to raise someone else's child, period. Women like you who seem to think men's lives have no intrinsic value are the problem.
Carian01 0
My step father raised another man's child -me. He loves me to bits. Just because YOU'RE an arsehole, doesn't mean all men are. So speak for yourself next time.
VasilisaUzhasnaj 29
Please stop commenting. You're a real ********.
greeneye_fml 12
Quit making excuses for ****** who get knocked up and pin it on other men.
Alexisthebestest 16
56- **** you. Anyone that steps up and takes the responsibility to love & care for a child is a good ******* person in my book.
trismagestus 19
201: And when they are tricked into it? They can't get angry about it because it's such an inherently good thing?
