Today, my dad, who lives hours away, called and told me he was getting married. Today. As in this evening. Guess I'm not invited. FML
Today, I learned that my brother isn't going to have a funeral because my dad and stepmom can't afford one. FML
Today, my mom and my step dad decided they're getting a divorce. They've been married for 2 weeks and I paid for a quarter of the wedding. FML
Today, my family got mad at me for eloping and not inviting them to my wedding. Even though they admitted they wouldn't have gone anyway. FML
Today, my mom told me that I will never see my siblings again because I refused to attend her wedding to another woman. FML
Today, I heard that my stepmom’s mother passed away… via a public Facebook post made by my dad. FML
Today, I went to my parents' for the first time in months. Upon my arrival, I found out that I won't be spending the day with them because they've taken a car trip to attend a Sarah Palin book signing. FML
Today, I went to my fiancé's mother's funeral. His step-sister proudly announced that she's pregnant with his baby and they are engaged. FML
Today, my new step-dad proposed to my mom during a family trip to Wal-Mart. FML
Today, my mom told me that on my graduation day, the reason she (and my dad) almost didn't show up was because they had to spend almost an hour convincing my grandma to attend. FML

OP - You need to show the same respect back to them. Don't invite them to anything important, family gatherings, birthdays so on and so forth. It sounds as though they don't really want to be a part of your life anyway for their own selfish reasons. FYL

What's the whole point of NASCAR? You're just going round in a circle for 2 hours. if it was something like the fast and the furious I'd understand but NASCAR is just stupid. (i'm not from the south. but you probably figured that out when i said i don't like NASCAR and formed a coherent sentence.)

If the tickets are for Bristol, you have to buy them a full year in advance. OP probably already knew that they had these tickets and was inconsiderate and scheduled her wedding on the same day. So OP you deserve it.
