Today, I got a call from my parents that they have decided to get a divorce. My brothers and I just shelled out $5,000 each and spent months planning their 50th Anniversary party that was supposed to be next month. FML
Today, after 25 years of marriage, my parents decided to get a very nasty and extremely expensive divorce. Using my college tuition to pay for it. FML
Today, I had to dig into my savings to help my parents pay for their divorce. FML
Today, I found out that my mom and dad got a divorce. They didn't tell me, they just changed their relationship status on Facebook. FML
Today, my dad asked to borrow some money off me, so I said okay. Later on, he told me he'll be using it to help divorce my mom. I pretty much just helped pay for my parents' divorce. FML
Today, my wedding is scheduled for next week. Today is also the day my whole family had an epic falling out, resulting in my mother disowning my brother. Apart from having them taking turns sobbing at me through the phone, they're also not coming to the wedding. I paid the hotel rooms in advance. FML
Today, six weeks before my wedding, my mother decided to claim that she never agreed on paying for it and that she doesn't think she will. Now I have six weeks to scavenge enough cash for the wedding she planned in the first place. FML
Today, my parents announced they're getting a divorce. Now I don't know who's going to do my laundry. FML

What?? Why is it stupid? My mum and step-dad are getting married, and if I could afford to help out financially I'd be more than happy to. Or would you expect OP to know they were going to divorce after 2 weeks?

@#3 I'm pretty sure there was something along those lines. People don't HAVE to split everything in a divorce. Do you live in a hole? Humans are greedy, why else would someone use their kid's money for a two-week marriage?
