Today, my 15-year-old daughter's pregnancy test came back positive. I wanted to know who the father is, so I could sit the two of them down to talk the situation through with them. She isn't sure if it's her best friend, or our neighbor's son. FML

Today, my 15-year-old daughter told me that she's pregnant. To make matters worse, she doesn't know who the father is. She told me not to worry though, because she has it narrowed down to "like, only 3 guys." FML
Today, I found out that my daughter not only has a boyfriend, but that they're trying for a baby. She's barely 15. FML

Today, my daughter and her boyfriend excitedly told me that after months of trying they are finally pregnant and that I'm going to be a grandmother. This would be great news if they weren't 15. FML
Tonight, on Euphoria…
Today, my 15 year-old just told me she's pregnant and she isn’t sure which guy she slept with is the dad. I can’t even deal with this, she's 15 so I’m sure sex is illegal at her age, plus which boyfriend? How many does she have? I’ve been sober for 26 years, but god I want a scotch right now. FML
Frozen
Today, I found out my 15 year-old daughter is sexually active. I found out by finding her in our bedroom with a boy from her class, using one of our condoms. Her dad hasn’t spoken or moved from the kitchen table in over 30 minutes. I think he’s so mad his brain glitched and got stuck. FML
Today, my teenage daughter found out that she's pregnant, but insists she's still a virgin. Who does she think knocked her up? God? FML
Today, not only did I find out that my 13 year-old daughter is pregnant, I found out that she did it on purpose "to prove that she’s responsible." FML

Today, my 17 year-old daughter texted me, “Mom I’m pregnat” Yes, exactly how you see it spelled. She’s a senior in high school. Oh, and she doesn’t know who the father is. FML
Rebel
Today, my 15 year-old daughter decided that the best way to indulge her rebellious impulses was to sleep with the 30-something convict down the street, get pregnant, and try to convince him to let her move in. FML

Sounds like your daughter and you need to have a real long talk about self respect and loyalty if she was Dateing either of them

kids are so screwd now days .. 2 solution = marriage or abortion and both are ****** up
Habu987 9
Or adoption...
marcranger 29
Statistically speaking, marriage is way more likely to **** OP's daughter in the long run than abortion is, especially given the girl's age. Abortion is not the traumatic event religious screeds would have you believe...besides, as already pointed out, those are NOT the only options.
RedPillSucks 33
Abortion is traumatic to a young body.

136, You know it's just religious people who are against abortion, right? I know a pro-life atheist.

I'm sorry OP that you've been put into this situation. That's harsh, defs FYL and that of your daughter's. I think before you talk to the prospective fathers and their parents, you need to have a serious talk with your daughter about her options and her future. Having a baby is the most amazing and important thing you will ever do in your life, being a parent is the greatest gift, but at 15 no one is ready for that responsibility. So, I definitely think looking into alternative options is worth while, but if having the baby is what she wants she's gonna have to work her ass off. Also, getting a paternity test is definitely worth while, the father needs to know about his responsibility now as well. Plus, I think you also need to talk to your daughter about sex and consequences. I'm sure she understands them now, but for future references. "No glove no love", that's my motto, plus I've been on the pill since I was 16. Not taking any chances, is always the safest way.

OMG, did you seriously just say that the possible father has no right to even know about his possible baby but he MUST TAKE RESPONSIBILITY. I agree that he must take responsibility but to say he isn't allowed to know if you don't want the baby but he must take responsibility if you do want the baby it is low. Why would you do that as a good person? I get that the father has no right to make the choice for her but he is still the possible father and because of that should be included in the proces and listened to at the very least.

Actually, 107, I believe 91 was simply stating that the OP should deal with the daughter first, before talking to the possible fathers.

Sorry, but no-- having a baby is not the most "amazing" thing or most "important" thing you will ever do with your life, seriously. If it is for you, okay then-- but definitely not at all for me and certainly other people. I love viewing life as having more meaning and importance than to simply become a baby receptacle. Maybe if you have a very shallow and superficial existence you think this way, but I want to contribute positive change to this world, instead of just adding to the overpopulation problem the world already had...

To 160... I get your point, having a baby isn't for everyone and just because you don't have one doesn't mean you haven't done anything important. But I think you're being a little touchy. First of all, their comment isn't just addressed to women (as you imply in your comment about baby receptacle and so on) because they mentioned being a parent is a gift, and that includes fathers. They never said having a baby is all women are good for. Secondly, you say it's ok that they have their opinion and you have the right to your own, but then contradict yourself by immediately call them shallow and superficial for their opinion, and imply that having a baby is only a negative thing (and by the way, depending on where you live, overpopulation may not really be an issue). In conclusion, I totally understand your opinion (I agree babies are not all that humanity is good for) but I think you were way too critical, because to some people having a baby is the most important thing and you don't have to insult them to disagree with them.
pengin 13
Yeah, I know. :/ I was harsh-- I just get so many comments from people, many times directly aimed at me in real life, that I should be having kids and otherwise (as a young professional) I'm wasting my life. It's an issue I do get rather touchy about, so I do apologize. People have their own goals in life, so I don't wanna bash them. It's just personal experience and seeing people I grew up with prematurely having kids unexpectedly that they can't support but still purport it to be the "best" thing that has happened to them (not thinking about the hardships they will all face...) and then criticizing me for not happily joining the bandwagon... *sigh*

Is her BF male or female?
Googolman 29
I'm not exactly sure what was going through your head while writing this comment... BF actually stands for BOYfriend, and a female can't impregnate another female. My God, some people.
RedPillSucks 33
Her BF is her Best Friend, a Girl who had a gender change at 11 and was previously a boy. She didn't know this as they had sex in the dark. The BF did the insertion and *BAM* pregnancy happens. *sits back with box of popcorn and waits*
Googolman 29
Oh, I understand now. Best friend makes much more sense. My comment is still valid, though. Just ignore the boyfriend part. And as for you, 170, I just read "Her BF is her best friend", the rest was utter nonsense.

It was a joke. Learn to read and have some imagination.

teenagers get worse and worse every day.... this is why I'm scared to have kids -.-
Sir_drink_alot 20
Or you could say parents get worse and worse every day... Also you do realize that the rate of teenage pregnancy has being on the decline for a while now. We are just not as afraid to talk about it

True! Finally somebody with common sense. Thank you!

Yeah because parents are getting worse and worse. If I did half the crap kids do nowadays, I wouldn't be here writing this comment.
