Today, I was telling my teenage daughter about the effects from alcohol, and how she should not give in to peer pressure. While talking, I noticed that she was looking at me funny. There was a wine glass in my hand. FML
Today, my teenage daughter asked me how old I was when I lost my virginity. I sarcastically replied that I'm still a virgin. She looked at me blankly and said, "Jeez, no wonder you're so uptight. You need to get laid, mom." FML
Today, my mother and I went to Wal-Mart to buy pads. I suggested I get tampons instead, so that I can go swimming at my boyfriend's cottage. My mother then goes to the nearest store employee and asks, "excuse me, if my daughter uses a tampon, does that mean she is no longer a virgin?" FML
Today, my 15-year-old birth daughter asked if I've ever had sex. FML
Today, my daughter's teacher called me, very concerned, because my child told the whole class she's not a virgin anymore. The word is "vegan", Honey. FML

Every generation had **** ups but in this generation it's more acceptable to ride a dick before you can vote. For me, I am waiting to give my virginity to my spouse. So not everyone in "this generation" is a complete loss to society.

Actually no, it's not "more acceptable" it's less acceptable and that's why teen pregnancy is made out to be this huge problem that is just suddenly occurring.

Shut the hell up. The only thing this generation has done different than past ones sexwise has to do with the technology available to them. My grandmother lost her virginity at 15 in 1942, and I know some her friends did too. I'm so sick of hearing about "this generation."

well while a lot of people have pointed out she likely doesn't know what the word means, and even if she does, and isn't saying that to be "cool" or a "rebel", so what? I mean if she's being safe and the boys (or girls) are her age oh well, give her a safe sex talk, buy a box of condoms and get her on the pill.

At 13, you don't give the kids a box of condoms or birth control pills, a slap on the back, a hi-ho silver and away. Kids that young are generally not responsible enough to deal with the consequences of sex, either physical or emotional. In addition, they are easily (peer pressure) put in a situation where they're basically little more than sex candy for others. I can't tell you how many girls I know that have been in a situation that started out OK and ended up with them being raped. I know that can happen an any time, but it gets more prevalent when the kids are more sexually active.
