Today, I was leading a tour of my university and saw a girl in ripped jeans and combat boots smoking a cigarette. I told her that she shouldn't be representing the school in such a manner. She shot back: "I'm a Presidential Scholar. Suck my dick, bitch." FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today at university, I saw a girl on crutches struggling to make it up the stairs to the dining center. Feeling sympathetic, I politely offered to help her with her bags, and she declined. By declined, I mean she maced me. FML
Wrong target
Today, I was hitting on a girl who was getting ready to walk into the same class as me. We were waiting outside the room, so I told her that I'd heard the professor for the course was a total bitch. We walked into the room. I sat down at a desk. She stood behind the podium. FML
A long way to go…
Today, while giving a lecture on gender equality in the workplace, a woman yelled from the back, asking me why I'm not out starting a war somewhere. I stopped talking and tried to pinpoint her in the crowd, which she took as a sign to snort and call me a pussy. Nobody would back me up. FML
Today, I was yelled at for smoking at a bus stop, because a woman didn't appreciate me smoking by her children. She did this while waving her own lit cigarette in my face. FML
Today, after being annoyed one too many times by my students' whiney attitudes, I accidentally blurted out, "Quit being such a bitch," to the superintendent's daughter. FML
Today, I saw my former high school teacher at the mall. After a nice conversation, she mentioned that I "still dress like a slut." FML
Today, I had my cigs tucked into my waistband because my shorts didn't have pockets. A friend walks up and asks for a smoke. I say "I've got something you can smoke right here", tugging at my shorts. The "friend" then kicks me in the nuts for being a douche. FML
Today, I was picking up my little sister from school and while waiting I decided to have a smoke. I was caught and was told to go to the principal's office. I'm 23. FML
Today, I had a nasty cough, but I went to college anyway. When I walked into class, I could practically smell menstrual blood in the air. After a few coughs, our instructor gave me an "Oh, shut up!" After half an hour, she kicked me out for not "taking the class seriously". FML
Background noise
Today, a classmate posted a recording of a recent lecture on my university's Facebook page, so we could listen again and take notes at home. A few minutes in, I heard myself asking a question. I then heard snorting and some girl muttering "dumb cunt" under her breath. FML

Judgmental much? How have you made it all the way to university and not yet learned that peoples' actions & bodies are none of your business? Her comment may not have been polite, but you deserved it for thinking you could change who she is because in your OPINION, she was being inappropriate. SMDH

Don't judge so easily.

Just because someone doesn't look the way you think they should doesn't mean he/she is a bad person, trashy, or whatever your tiny mind believes. I would've said the same thing. YDI.

It's college....the fun part of college is to dress as you want while you're not working yet, she does what she wants. Judging people so easily is kinda bullshit

How do ripped jeans and combat boots even matter? YDI. Don't judge.

I would have said the same thing! How self-righteous are you? Smoking is bad for the health, but perfectly legal, she's not breaking any rules as long as she's not smoking indoors. Also, what's wrong with ripped jeans and combat boots? YDI, for sure

I agree with OP on this one. If they are giving a tour of the college, and the students see their Presidential Scholar acting like that, they'll think its fine to do the same, and start disrespecting peers and guardians. Not even gonna say anything about her clothing, because that could spark a huge argument.

'yeah, but, YDI for being so judgemental. They can wear whatever they want' Okay. Then the President of the US is allowed to go represent us in a half-thong brief string. Doesn't matter. He can wear whatever he wants because he can express his mind freely. Don't judge him if he does it. Its a hypocritical cycle, as always. OP is just trying to make a good representation of his/her school for the newcomers.

Yeah but she wasn't doing anything wrong. Sure smoking isn't good for you, but it's a life choice and should be respected like anything else, it's not antisocial or disruptive. She was well within her rights to be so angry (though she could have responded better).

It's not disruptive? How? I'm pretty sure people dislike it when someone is smoking around them. I certainly take a disliking to smokers. I live around chronic smokers who smoke packs a day around 5 children. I've already felt the effects of secondhand smoke. Just imagining what it is doing to my mother's lungs is terrifying. Yes, it is their choice, so I respect it. Granted it is a very bad choice that affects everyone around them. This is from experience. My grandparents smoked, my parents smoke, and I certainly don't want to keep that line going. I already have asthma and breathing problems.

"They'll think it's okay". This was at a college tour, not a bunch of little kids. At that age, people decide for themselves whether or not it is okay to smoke. And start disrespecting others? Yeah, because anyone who smokes is automatically a disrespectful person, even though it's their personal life choice.

She's awesome
