Today, I stopped at a yellow light. The guy behind me did not. He had no insurance. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, I stopped at a red light. I noticed the car in front of me had their reverse lights on. I thought to myself, "Meh, that person must know. They wouldn't do that." The light turned green. Turns out they didn't. Nor did they have insurance. FML
Moron
Today, some genius shot through a red light, hitting my car and nearly killing me. When I went to ask if he was okay, the first words out of his mouth were, "I hope you have insurance". FML
Today, I got rear ended. The guy flashed his lights at me to pull over, so I pulled into the side of the road. He drove away. FML
Today, I decided to be a good driver and not run through the yellow light. As soon as I stopped my car another came and rear-ended me. The guy told me to go in the parking lot so we can exchange information. So I drove into the parking lot, I turned my head and watched him drive away. FML
Today, I got rear-ended at a stop sign on a seldom used road in my neighborhood. As I open my car door to trade insurance information with the guy, he backs up a little and speeds away, taking my car door with him. FML
Today, I got into a car accident. The guy wouldn't give me his information, but instead stood there saying, "Like a good neighbor, Statefarm is there." FML
Today, while at a stop light, I was rear-ended by a car behind me. The guy got angry at me, because according to him, I should've known that his car has poor braking distance, and so I should've moved forward a few more feet to compensate. FML
Noooooooo!
Today, I stopped at a red light, when I noticed the car in front of me was in reverse. I honked at the driver, hoping he'd realize and place the car in drive. He thought the light turned green and immediately backed into me. FML
Today, I went to my insurance company to deal with some paperwork. One of their employees backed into my car before I made it into the building. FML
Today, I was driving to work and stopped at a stop light. A full 2 or 3 seconds passed, followed by a car rear-ending me. The idiot driving it got out and gave me hell, calling me a maniac because I braked "too quickly" and didn't give him a chance to react. FML

so what's the problem? he's the one that's in deep shit, at least in my country you can go to jail for that, so you can ask him for cash, a lot of it.

haha I love how so many of these comments come from kids that have never driven or have taken drivers ed. idk how much state laws differ when it comes to driving but I thought certain things such as the meaning of the color lights would be a universal system across America at least but I guess I'm wrong.

@114 So you have been driving 2 years then. Yay. (Im assuming legal driving age is 16 down there still.) When you have 5+ years without collision, then tell me to Suck it. Till then, you dont have the experience to be bragging to me.

That's my fear every time I stop at a yellow or red light!! I only have liability insurance so I wouldn't get payed for my damages!

OP if you have insurance then the other driver is a lot more effed than you... any sort of car accident does suck though.

That happened to me once! Except it was a pregnant woman, so I felt horrible.

This isn't an FML, the OP's insurance (if they have it) will cover the costs and squeeze the money out of the driver at fault.

Florida if considered a no fault state which pretty much means your insurance should cover you. Might wanna look into it.
