Today, I realized that our generation will be remembered as the kids who liked sparkly vampires. FML
Collection
Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Today, Twilight once again won all the awards at MTV, beating out Inception, Toy Story 3, Harry Potter, etc. This is MY generation. FML
Today, I woke up and looked in the mirror and noticed that my face was covered in glitter. I asked my wife about it and she said she put it on me while I was sleeping so that I would sparkle like Edward from Twilight when I'm in the sunlight. FML
Today, after waiting for years for my oldest daughter to grow out of Twilight, my younger daughter discovered it. FML
Artistic licence
Today, after spending at least 4 hours drawing a realistic shadow of a vampire for a picture contest, I finally remembered that vampires aren't supposed to produce shadows. FML
Today, I was made aware that my teenage son used "Abraham Lincoln, Vampire Hunter" as a reference point in a class debate as if it was a biopic. Oh dear. FML
Stuck in the past
Today, I found out my boyfriend still writes Twilight fan fiction. FML
Today, my lips were dry and chapped, so I asked if I could use some of my friend's chapstick. She didn't mind, so I quickly put some on. Only later did I notice that my lips were sparkly. Turns out it was glitter balm. Now everyone calls me "princess." FML
Today, I was really badly sunburnt, so I put on some after-sun. The only type we have has glitter in it, and now I look like a sparkling tomato. FML
Dark times
Today, it was good fun getting a nice vampire make-up at my drama lesson. It would've been better if I hadn't forgotten my Demak'up. Even better if I could've avoided the crazy glances in the bus home. FML
Today, my daughter turned Emo. FML

Perhaps instead we will be remembered as a generation of people who will complain about any and every inconsequential detail on the internet for attention. Grow up.

If this is the worst thing in your life, you must have a pretty pathetic, boring life unlike some of us who have actual problems, suck it up. I'm pretty sure that we are going to be remembered as the generation that f***ed up the future for everyone else and is oversexualized, and who killed too many innocent people anyway, in like 5 years none of this is going to be around or remembered anyway because something new will take it's place so get over it.

Yeah! Finally someone understands me. People like me used to be called freaks by the preppy people for liking vampires. And now Twilight is a preppy goth sensation! How retarded.

That is very true. Im sick of the preps calling people losers for stuff and doing it a week later because its "cool". I used to get made fun of for wearing knee socks and now everyone does it. Wth. -.-

true, true. but I love twilight, and I bet a lot of people would if they read the books. Im not like a scary, obsessive fangirl, but i'd rather our generation be remembered for that then worse things. I'm actually quite proud, lol. but whatever, everyones opinion is different.

52, he's the one with too much time, yet you can go out of your way to comment on it and have not wasted a second of your life?

no i read twilight and loved it. one of the best books ever, but its sooo overrated. its like a religion for preppies that want to get out of their preppy skin.

If it's one of the "best books ever" then how can it be over rated?

God it's so true.. And the books aren't even well written. They pretty much suck. We're also going to be known as the generation that like high school musical and miley cyrus. It's so sad to see fifteen year old girls walking around with hsm backpacks. I'm so glad I'm in college now and out of highschool.

I haven't ever seen a single highschooler with an hsm backpack. You're thinking of....elementary school. Even middle schoolers have higher standards.

we will sadly be remembered as the people with their pants around their ankles!!! :(
