Today, I realized that it's become a regular occurrence for my mother and me to talk about our pubic hair. I don't know which is worse, the fact that I now know that she shaves it, or the fact that we even talk about this stuff. FML

Same thing different taste
Contact
Today, I found out my mum has been using my electric shaver for several months to shave her pubes and underarms. FML
Mothers know best
Today, I came across one of the pitfalls of having open discussions with my 15-year-old son when he asked me how to shave his pubes. FML
Today, I don't know what's worse, the fact that my hair sheds so much, or the fact that I find most of it in my butt crack. FML
Today, my mom told me that I need to shave my beard because it's getting too long. This wouldn't be so bad if it weren't for the fact that I'm a woman. FML
Sharing is caring
Today, I caught my sister using my shaver to trim her pubic hair. FML
Different together
Today, my mom walked in on me shaving the tops of my legs. She called me a freak, since apparently women aren’t even supposed to grow hair there. FML
Itchy arse
Today, I learned the worst part about being dared to shave your ass hair: Stubble. FML
Today, I walked in on my mother using a razor to shave my dad's cream-covered testicles. FML
Today, I realized my girlfriend has more hair on her abdomen than I have on mine. FML
Unpleasant, but clean

I'm wondering how these conversations even start.

Maybe like: mum: how are your pubes honey? Op: fine what about yours?

I think they're equally bad...and gross.

talk about taking mother daughter bonding to the next level. I can just imaging a video promoting it. " tired of the same old boring bonding rountines ? why paint each others nails and participate in active outdoor outings when you can help shave each others pubes ?" (camera zooms in and out of children's faces as they jump around in excitement) lol I think I took it to far

How many new things are happening with your pubic hair that you can discuss it regularly?

Bald is beautiful.

But bush is better.

Bald is for prepubescent children.
squideth 18
65 stop with that goddamn argument. If a women prefers her area shaved bald, she should be able to without self-righteous twats like yourself shaming her body. If you seriously think a fully developed woman looks like a prepubescent girl just because she's missing some pubes, then you have a problem.

Does the carpet match the drapes?
NoFlippinWai 24
probably not if she's got bare floors, any color drapes match it.

Weather? Sports? Art? Politics? Celebrity gossip? Why don't you gals talk about those instead?
etishuman22 32
According to my boyfriend my friends and I sit around talking about our periods. I guess this is not too far off the mark.

#30, you are, you are not helping. Kittens? Gas prices? Restaurants? Home Decor? The next season of "Dancing with the Stars?" These people need our help -- they need non-genital topics to discuss!
Trisha_aus 15
Well..I heard Bill Nye the science guy is on "Dancing with the stars"..

#54, yes! And so is Valerie Harper, even though she is dying of brain cancer, . . . and Snooki!

I'm sorry to have disappointed you Perdix. I don't watch TV really anymore. I'm not relevant in that aspect unfortunately! But I watch 30 Rock on Netflix! Does that count?

#58, I'm not disappointed. Just as long as you can quote "Seinfeld" and "The Big Bang Theory," you're OK by me and don't need to watch TV besides that. :D
etishuman22 32
"No soup for you!" and "Bazinga!!" I used to watch Seinfeld with my mom all the time when I was a kid, and my boyfriend's parents have The Big Bang Theory on all the time whenever we're there, Sheldon's "Bazinga"is his mom's text alert sound! It's so funny. :)

It could be worse. You could have a mom that discusses nothing with you at all (like mine) and have to learn about everything on your own. Do you have any idea how crushed I was when I discovered that after my first period, it would become a regular occurrence? I learned this from watching an episode of Married with Children of all places. Learning about girl stuff on my own sucked. I'd rather have had a mom that shared a little too much than nothing at all.

Reminds me of when I first got mine. I had no idea what it was or why I was bleeding. I thought maybe I had sat on a razor blade or something. I was freaking out until google saved me haha.
etishuman22 32
I don't know how I knew what mine was the day I got mine. I think it was because all the girls in my class had theirs and I hadn't mine yet. So when I tols my mom she just went white and was like "oh". That was the extent of our period discussion. I hope to God if I have a daughter I will not be the same!
etishuman22 32
How does one bring that conversation up? "I took a shower today, and shaving my pubes was like really aggravating. Got any lotion?"
juststephhere 23
At least you're in a mother-daughter relationship! You're both girls, it shouldn't matter!
