Today, I realized burying my dog underneath our swing-set was a bad idea. My two sons are now scarred for life. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Traumatic
Today, I sent my kids to play in the back garden and immediately heard them screaming. We buried our dog last week and last night some animal dug her up and spread the bones and rotting flesh around. The stench was horrendous, the kids are traumatized, and I vomited while reburying the bits. FML
Today, my dog died. My parents told me to bury it out back. In the process, I managed to dig up my cat. FML
Archeology
Today, I was digging the foundation for what will eventually be my garage. My kids wanted to help Daddy, which means they had a front row seat with their little spades when we unearthed the skeleton of some previous homeowner's dog. Now they won’t stop crying. FML
Today, I was outside searching for "treasures" with my son using small plastic shovels. All of a sudden he starts screaming. He dug up the bones of our old dog. I told him that we had sent him away to live on a farm, I even helped my son write letters to the farm owners. FML
Today, I told my daughter that we were going to the beach. Today, my daughter also tried to dig up our deceased dog, who we buried in our back yard last week, so he could come along. FML
Today, my new dog unburied my old dog and chewed on his bones. FML
Creepy backyard
Today, I found a pile of animal skeletons scattered in my backyard. It appears that last night, mother nature decided to rain so hard, that the graves of my childhood pets floated back up to the top, and covered half of my field. I now have to pick all of it up before my dog sees them. FML
Poor good boy
Today, my dog died. I spent ages digging him a grave and buried him in the garden so that my dad wouldn't have to deal with the stress when he got home from work. When my dad got home he told me that he had wanted the dog to be cremated. I have just had to dig up my dog's body. FML
Today, my husband gave our three-year-old son a lesson on life and death. He did this by slaughtering our pet chicken for dinner in front of him. My son has been crying for hours. FML
Bad news
Today, I knew it was going to be a fun day when I woke up to find that my kids' new puppy had died in the night. FML

How are they scarred for life? It's not like they dug it up. And they wouldn't have known if you didn't tell them otherwise.. I don't get how this is an fml

At least you didn't bury it in the Pet Cemetary.

yay I'm not the only one who finds animal bones cool! I tried to dig up a pet for the skull but never found them. bugs or maceration I now know is the way to go if you want to keep pets bones.

I'd be scared to dig up a dead pet!! There's a lot of animals we have buried, we even have a horse and a goat buried.

Isn't that kids who torture animals that are more likely to be psychopaths

Person1233 13
No, he means belgian waffle.

being ?
cldean24 4
What being?! Omg you must be so bad at grammar. There is no way you can get being from begin! Seriously guys, you think the person doesn't know the difference between being and begin? You have to correct people why?
abceasyas123abc 12
Haha, I must have typed 'begin' incorrectly and the iPhone autocorrected it to 'being'. As if more people wouldn't recognize that possibility. It'd be a pretty crazy "grammatical error" to interchange the two.

Scared for life?

Scarred in a scare. A scar is a near-permanent injury mark, the scare will stick with them, like a scar, for life.

It's okay, aside from your comment being buried so far down the devil will be able to play with it, everyone understands. :)

Why would you bury a dog underneath a swing set in the first place?
rhysfucker 24
I know.. What part of 'dead dog' makes one think 'under the swingset'? Wow.
sxe_beast 11
The question is... Why would you NOT bury the dog there?
TheGianaJinx 0
EXACTLY. Why not bury him there? The kids mine as well know the dangers of being on the swing set... A dead dog being one.

I find this fml hilarious.

You should've thought that through a bit more
HBoks 7
Thats stupid:p why didn't you think of the fact that if the kids kick the ground sooner or later they might unbury the dog?:p
rattusrattus 19
My swing set has a trench you could bury a (small) chihuahua in underneath it.
VeraJK 16
You are an idiot.
diceplaya 12
Well said.

Why would you do that? Was the sand box full or something?
