I feel ya OP. I sometimes without thinking reach over into my passenger seat to hold someone's hand like I use to with my ex. I never have any passengers. FYL

You should get a pet! Whether you should get a cat or dog depends on how much time you have to take care of one. (I have a cat because I work long shifts and live on my own, and cats are a little more independent.) It's really a win-win. You don't have to be lonely, and you can give an animal a good home!
