Today, after finally giving up on the search for my lost dog, I realized that my neighbors had found her and are convinced that she was a stray. They won't give her up and are now mad at me for trying to take my own dog back. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, my dog ran away. Luckily my neighbors caught him before he got too far. Now they won't give him back because they think I did something to him to make him want to run away. FML
Today, my boyfriend finally let me take his dog on a walk, after two years of not trusting me to keep her safe. During the walk, a car drove by, causing her to run after it and pulling the leash out of my hand. Five hours later, and I still can't find her. FML
Today, I searched our neighborhood for our lost dog. After screaming at the top of our lungs, driving around in circles, and asking strangers, we realized we took him to the groomers this morning. FML
I bet you're wondering how I ended up here
Today, I got caught trying to steal my own cat back from my neighbor. FML
Sophie's choice
Today, I adopted a stray cat that kept showing up at my door. Turns out, it belongs to my neighbours. It wasn’t lost; it just doesn’t like living with them. Now, they want it back. FML
Bold move
Today, I got home from work and found my dog missing. When I asked my neighbor if she saw what happened, I saw my dog sleeping on her couch. She tried to say it was hers. FML
Today, I lost my dog and so I put up 'lost' signs. As I was coming back home I noticed one had been written on. It said: "Found your dog. Keeping it". FML
Today, I went to check if my neighbours were home to return their dog, having looked after her for a few days. I looked in the window and the place was empty. They'd moved house and stuck us with their dog. FML
Today, my neighbor's 4-year-old daughter came up to me and asked if she could have my dog. When I said no, she started crying so much that her mom came out 5 minutes later and demanded that I give her daughter the dog. FML
Today, I found the dog I lost while I was dog sitting. It was with its new adoptive family. FML

Ouch, that sucks I would definitely get others involved to get your dog back But how did your neighbors not even know that it was your dog?

That's why you have those chips implanted. To fight back against scumbags like these. What a pair of grade-A assholes.

Yeah, you can get your dog back. You must have pictures, everyone has pictures of their pet. And vet papers, your dog should also have a chip etc etc. Call the police.

This why it is important to microchip your pet.

Call the police, then later tonight, egg their house for good measure.

Show that you own the dog. Your own damn dog would recognize you. So when you walk in it should run towards you and lick your face. Show them your lost dog papers you put up. Get your parents involved

Once my dog got out, and someone else took her in. they, too, refused to give her back. Then we told her she had an illness, and told them they'd have to pay for very expensive pills all the ******* time, and they gave her back.

agree with everyone else. if it's really your dog, you'll have proof. besides, won't the dog recognize you? am i missing something?
