Many children are unexpected but what is unexpected and unacceptable is for a mother to say such things. What child wants to hear that the "only" reason they are here is because daddy forgot to pull out? It may be true but not something a loving mother should ever say to their child. Ever!

Did you really believe that every child on the planet was the result of a planned pregnancy? Most children aren't planned, but that absolutely does not mean the children are unloved once they're born. You weren't aborted or put up for adoption, and there's no mention of any kind of abuse so... what's the problem? Adult relationships and ties are rarely as simple or pleasant as anyone would like them to be. Appreciate the fact that your mother cares enough to be honest.

My Mom use to tell me that my Dad begged her for an abortion. She always tried making him look bad by telling me stuff like that, but she really just showed me what kind of person she is.
