Today, I was telling my best friend that I was feeling unattractive, and that I never get asked out. As she was trying to make me feel better, we were interrupted by a stranger trying to hit on her. FML

Today, I walked up to my friend and slapped her ass, because that’s what we always do. Turns out, it wasn’t my friend, it was a total stranger. FML
Today, I introduced the girl I was talking to my best friend, and we all hung out. Until this day, her and I were doing great. After my friend left, she started gushing about how hot he is. He wasn't hitting on her at all. I reminded her that, and that he has a girlfriend. She was calm, but visibly upset. FML
Today, I saw a beautiful girl at the bar. I attempted to be friendly and hit her up for a chat. She called me a “creep” and told me to get lost. A few moments later, another guy does the exact same thing I did and she smiled and kept flirting. FML
Today, while I was out shopping, a fairly hideous-looking woman stormed up to me and accused me of ogling her, saying, "As if I'd ever date you!" Less than a minute later, she'd somehow managed to bully me into falsely admitting to it and apologizing. FML
Today, I went downtown with my friends. A group of guys came up to us and started hitting on everyone except me. Then one of them said, "Do you girls hang out with her to make yourselves look better?" FML
Today, I was walking down the street to go to the movies, when I got punched in the back of the head. When I turned around, a stranger said, "HAHA! It's punch a random person day!" When I asked him why he chose me, he replied "You're ugly." FML
Today, my friend told me she saw the girl I like at a single's night after I'd asked her out and rejecting me, for being in a complicated relationship. FML
Today, I was walking to the shops when I saw my friend about 10 metres in front of me, waiting at the traffic lights, by herself. Jokingly, I shouted out "Who's that really ugly person waiting at the lights?" The girl turned around. It wasn't my friend. FML
Today, on the way to work, I was punched in the balls by a complete stranger. FML
Today, I told my friend I would pay him to ask out the ugliest girl he knew. He asked out my girlfriend. FML

I love my girlfriend to death and think she is one of the sexiest women in the world, but that has very little to do with her looks. Sure, I like the way she looks too, but I love her because of who she is. The kind of person you are is more important your physical appearance.

Unfortunately, looks are the bait on the hook that's used to reel in the relationship. They can't find out what your personality is like if they're turned off by your looks. Many people wont make the attempt to create a deeper relationship, so OP needs to make the move and create something instead of passively waiting for the white knight.

Not really. Confidence can be faked easily and can sometimes be bolstered by external events. Your self-image is based on what you choose to believe about yourself.

Are you somewhere in the 13 - 19 year old range, #123? Self-image is how you feel about yourself. You can only look at the negative and constantly pick yourself apart or you can think of the good things about yourself. You *are* making a choice, even if it's not consciously. You may be predisposed to being a negative person but you can absolutely decide to improve yourself.
