Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Today, I had a date with a guy I've had a crush on for months. Not knowing where the date would take us, I shaved my pubic hair. Later, in the middle of making out with the guy, my dad storms into the room to tell me, "I had to get some Draino, your pubes clogged the shower." FML
Today, my boyfriend and I were messing around. When he slipped his hand down my pants, he scratched my pubic hair and said "scruffy, scruffy, scruffy." FML
Today, I went on another date with a guy I've had a crush on for a long time. Afterwards, we went back to my place for the first time and things got heated. While taking my pants off, he recoiled and asked if I thought it was still No Shave November. FML
Today, I was in gym class talking to a guy I like. My friend then decided to come up behind me and pants me, pulling down my underwear along with them. His only comment? "Someone needs to shave." FML
Today, I saw my boyfriend shaving his pubic hair before we had sex. This would be fine, except he was saying "Nom nom nom, I eat cock hairs" to his electric razor. FML
Today, I went on a date with a guy I've had a crush on for a while. I shaved my legs and armpits and wore a short dress. It wasn't until I got to the meeting that I noticed I only shaved one of my legs. FML
Today, my boyfriend stopped in the middle of sex to tell me he couldn't take it anymore because my legs were too hairy. I shaved yesterday. FML
Today, I went on a date with a guy I really liked. The date was going great until he decided to try flossing his teeth with my hair. FML
Today, my boyfriend requested that I shave my lips so I spent an hour in the shower carefully removing every trace of pubic hair. Turns out he wanted me to shave my moustache, not my carpet. FML
Today, my date saw me naked, and was disgusted that 1. I shaved my pubes into a landing strip instead of completely bald, and 2. I missed a few hairs below my knee while shaving my legs. His actual words as he was half out the door were that he "wanted Princess Leia, not Chewbacca." FML

there's nothing wrong with pubes, but if you need a machete to get through the jungle, it might be time to start shaving

oh my gosh! thank you! you're the first guy who has said this! I don't shave down there... yet. but when I shave my bikini line it itches reeeeeally bad, so it's annoying. and if people expect me to shave down there, they better be expecting me to itch it too.

Look, to both sides of the argument as to if it's hard to shave or not- IT DEPENDS ON THE PERSON. Some people get razor burn more easily then others. Personally I get horrible razor burn. I still shave, but it does happen, and it's not comfy. My bf gets it too. My best friend miraculously never gets any. Stop thinking that just because something is true for you means it is for everyone! Secondly I still don't understand why people have to apologize for their naturalness. Yes, I shave, and I prefer to be shaved, but that doesn't mean everyone does or even should. People who demand others to shave have insecurity problems with their own looks.

To all the women saying "Wah Wah Wah Shaving is SOOO HARD" I used to have the same problem. I never wore bikinis because of it, which was frustrating for me because I do have a moderately cute body and otherwise DO feel comfortable in a bikini. So after 21 years of being unable to shave (due to it being so thick) I got it waxed. It is not that bad. And it will solve your problems. Stays clean for about 4-6 weeks and grows back finer, I know it sounds like a myth that hair can grow back thinner, but mine did. It really pisses me off when people call it a prepubescent look. My body has curves. Even without hair I look womanly. You'd have to have no hips, no breasts and be baby faced in order for it to look prepubescent. My guy shaves down there for me, and yet I love his hairy, manly chest. Just because I don't want to choke on a curly hair when I go down on him doesn't mean I want to go down on a 5 year old. The OP didn't specify if she's hairy or not down there or how bad her "condition" is. And unless she was well trimmed down there we can assume the guys just an asshole. But calling someone "sick" because they like the look/feel of a shaved genitals, whether it be male or female, is stupid.

shut up 193, just because no one will sleep with you doesn't mean other people shouldn't have sex. OP you DO need to shave that shit.

Oh and another thing. Shaving is not hygienic. It is purely cosmetic. It might be unhygienic if it doesn't get washed regularly...but assuming it does...it can be unhygienic to shave actually because of the risk of rashes and ingrown hairs.

Guess who's not getting any any time soon..."CUTE GUY"! You don't deserve to **** if you can't accept hair.

I shave because my boyfriend LIKES me to, and also because I kinda like it myself; however, a guy who wants a one night stand has NO right to even mention it. The jackass.

i don't understand people that judge hairless people and suggest that it's a bad thing by calling it "prepubescent." Perhaps I should stop shaving my underarms and legs too because I didn't used to have hair there either in my "prepubescent" days....its a personal choice, the hair down their gives me the creeps and i find it really itchy. However, I cannot shave due to a highly sensitive area. I start bleeding and everything if i try to shave. I have to wax, but unfortunately, it has to grow some in order to do that so if someone were say "shave that shit" and give me attitude in between waxes, i'd tell them to go F themselves...

Bush is only good in terms of music. In terms of hair growth, running backs, and presidents, stay clear.

What a jerk, though sadly his type is all too common. Shaving is personal preference. If you don't like shaving, you shouldn't feel pressured to do so. If you like shaving, then that's perfectly fine, too. Now, if you prefer your partner shaved/not shaved, you can politely suggest that if they do a bit of trimming or let it grow out, it would be really sexy and special, and you'd really appreciate it ;) But going "You need to shave that shit" is bloody rude and disrespectful. Particularly at that moment in time. Be glad you're even invited to the party; if you can't suck it up and deal with a bit of hair, you're obviously not worth the time nor effort. And for those saying that having a full bush isn't hygienic, it's only as hygienic as you make it. All it takes is splashing some water on the vulva and running your fingers through the hair whenever you have a shower (don't use soap, though. It can irritate the skin and throws the pH level off, increasing the chances of infection). If you have a strong smell coming from your crotch even after washing, odds are there's something going on and you should see a doctor. Plus the hair, as I recall, is there to stop bacteria from actually reaching the ******. The bacteria that get trapt on the hair would otherwise be transfered directly onto the vulva, and from there it would be easy to enter the ****** (particularly if the woman is sexually active) and trigger a yeast infection. But in the end, it all comes down to personal preference. It's that plain and simple. If a woman doesn't want to shave, it's her decision; you have no right to insult her and her body for that choice.
