If you want a Gibson, go out and buy the pickups and grab another guitar that has not so good pickups and solder the new ones in. Voilà. Much better. But you're better off getting EMG's or the like, which is what I'm doing for my BC Rich Warlock (advice to the future guitar buyer: if you get a bc rich, get one of the $5-700 models, they're usually already equipped with top of the line pickups.)

Obviously a lot of you people don't know a lot about guitars and what your talking about. First off, Gibsons tend to be very high quality and good. Second of all it depends what you want to play and what kind of quality guitar you want so stop bashing all the brands broskies ;p Oh and this is f'd, especially if you were a big player and had a true connection to that instrument
The only gibsons I like are the vintage ones. The new ones are horrible because the wood hasn't had aging time. And don't go bashing bc rich. They're definitely not my favorite company, but they do their job. They are mass produced, which I look down upon. That's why I'm either getting a schecter hellraiser or an ibanez someday. And dude, I know tons about guitars. I wouldn't say I know everything because that's impossible, but I know quite a bit. And Gibson is way over rated and doesn't truly live up to its name like it used to.

I always found (electric) guitars 1000$ and under to be somewhat cheap (I know, there are exceptions) but it is still a lot of money to lose!!

OMG, what could this fight have been about? And about putting nair in the shampoo payback, that's NOT getting even.
It takes a day to buy a new guitar. It takes YEARS for the hair to grow back.
Even if you have to spend a long time convincing people to buy you a new $1000 guitar, I doubt it would take as long as the sister growing her hair back.
Just destroy her stuff, and I mean stuff that can be bought again that is expensive but not special (like a guitar, unless it was an autographed guitar), not an antique or something inherited.
