Today, while cleaning out a closet with my mother, I found a wish list from when I was five. On that list, I wished my parents would divorce. Not only did that seriously hurt my mom, but now she thinks I'm the devil because my wish came true. FML

Today, I found one of my mom's old diaries that dated back to my infant days. I couldn't help but read a little. I'm now in great concern over how many times my mom wrote that she wanted to dunk me in the toilet or throw me against a wall. FML

Today, my mom let it slip that she was divorcing my dad. After making me promise to keep it from him and my little sisters, she had me help her with her plans to renovate the house. She intends to kick him out once it's done. FML

Today, I checked my mom's email to track a package I'm waiting to receive. Instead, I found out my mom canceled the order, and that my parents are getting a divorce and have been fighting via email for weeks. FML

Today, my dad and I got into an argument, and he ended up calling me a son of a bitch. My mom heard and started arguing with him over him calling her a bitch. Three hours later, I'm now staying at my gran's house with my mom and hoping her threats of a divorce weren't for real. FML

Today, it's been a little while since I found out that my parents are getting a divorce. They'd been married for 25 years and my father got bored and lost feelings. My mother is crying and howling on the bathroom floor right now. It has happened before, but since it was in our upstairs bathroom, I could open the door with a knife. FML

Today, my mom came home heavily drunk. As I was taking care of her, she told me all about how I was a mistake. That didn't hurt nearly as much as when she told me she wishes I'd died during her pregnancy. FML

Tell her to F**k off. That you just wanted her to be happy. And obviously being married didn't make her happy if she is now divorced. Plus, who would blame a 5 year old for such a thing? Tell her you will pray for her. :-P

The only reason a 5 year old would want her parents to divorce is if they were fighting all the time. So you didn't cause them to divorce, you just picked up on the animosity.

agree with #25 kids are surprisingly aware of how well their parents get along. Even they weren't fighting all the time you probably picked up on the tension. Besides, why is she calling you the devil because you were right? Does that mean she wants to get back together with her ex? .... unhealthy

You mother is a horrible person when i was that age i wished my parents to get divored all the time because my dad was abusive and they did get a divorce and it turned out for the best because my father no longer beats me up. So go tell your mother to **** herself.

And any of you that said oh you get 2 familys 2 houses that is bull shit a percentage of parents that get divorced there kids never see there other parent again because i havn't seen my father in at least 3 years.
