Today, while cleaning out a closet with my mother, I found a wish list from when I was five. On that list, I wished my parents would divorce. Not only did that seriously hurt my mom, but now she thinks I'm the devil because my wish came true. FML

Tell her to F**k off. That you just wanted her to be happy. And obviously being married didn't make her happy if she is now divorced. Plus, who would blame a 5 year old for such a thing? Tell her you will pray for her. :-P

The people around me still think im the devil, because of my smile, humor, looks (If you know what my body looks like) Things ive done, and the way I laugh and think. Wouldnt pay to much attention to it since Religion is all bullshit anyways in my opinion, and we all made stupid wishes like that :) Till your 12 you have no clue what your wishing for, so dont take it offensive. Your mom is probably "Brainwashed" by religion and finds ways to blame it on a different soul, while just in my case (Divorced parents) at the end of the day its their own stupid fault for misbehaving (Most common reason atleast in my case). Dont take it personally O.P and enjoy the rest of your life. Greets, A good hearted guy.

it's okay. my mom got mad at my dad (her ex-husband) before and called him the devil. When I told her to calm down, she called me Judas.

they probably had a bad enough relationship that even a child knew they shouldn't be together. although never met a 5 yr old with married parents familiar with the term divorce
