I've done that. No clue what causes it. Drink something warm (cocoa, cider, tea), it'll help.

One day, I was eating Cocoa Krispies, when I projectile vomited in the middle of swallowing it. It went up my nose, and I kept gagging, trying to get it out (my tongue is really long, so I can move it up where my mucus is).

Getting stuff stuck between your esophagus and your nasal cavity is the worst. I recommend either inhaling really hard or using a neti pot. Not sure how good the neti pot would be in this scenerio though.

This will sound gross, but try blowing your nose. I've had the same problem, and it usually comes out the nose. Just be prepared for possible pain.
