Today, I had a promo code for a free Redbox movie. Since I knew exactly which movie I wanted, I parked in a handicapped space because it was super close and I was cold. I didn't think anyone would notice, but apparently the cop that parked beside my car did. My free movie cost me $100. FML

Today, I received a $105 parking ticket for being in a handicapped space. The lines were covered by snow, and the sign was on the building twenty feet away. FML

Today, I received a $250 ticket when I parked my car, that has the disabled placard, in a handicapped spot at a Wal-Mart. The officer said she watched me get out of the car and walk to store without appearing to be disabled. I'm 59 years old, have a steel rod in my spine and a prosthetic hip. FML

Today, I searched for free parking near my work for 30 minutes, trying to avoid paying $12 at a pay lot. I scored a spot, but 1 mile away from the office. I trekked through rain, cold, and got to work late. It was a long hard day, crawled back to my car, and had a $30 ticket on my windshield. FML

Today, while working as a parking booth attendant, I decided to be nice and give a woman free parking. I said, "Give me a high five and I'll give you free parking, since I already did the paperwork." She said, "I'd rather pay," with a really disgusted look. I also had to redo the paperwork. FML

Today, I went over to get some ice cream. I found a rare parking spot in front of the store, and even had change in my pocket. After feeding the meter, A lady comes up to me and tells me that the meter was free after 8 o'clock. I paid 50 cents for it. I was 50 cents short for my ice cream. FML

Today, I found a great parking spot but I wasn't sure if it was restricted by any means or of I could just park there for free. I asked a police officer walking by and he told me it was alright, only to come back 4 hours later to find a ticket on my windshield. FML

Today, I parked my car, went to pay for my spot, and returned to my car only to find a parking violation ticket tucked under the windshield wipers. This all happened in less than a minute. FML

Today, I was looking for a parking spot and finally found one. Trying to figure out if the spot was legal, I asked a cop that had pulled up. He said it was fine. I came back 3 hours later to a parking ticket. FML

Today, I gave my friend a ride to town so she wouldn't have to pay the $10 to park. While waiting to pick her up, I grabbed a bite to eat. Upon returning to my car, I found a $55 parking ticket on my windshield. FML

Of course it was super close. Handicapped people generally can't get around very well. F their lives if they had to park in a far away normal space because you can't handle twelve seconds of cold.

I say **** YOU! I am disabled and there have been many times I have to sit there for 30 minutes for some ASSHOLE ( YOU!!) to get there car out of the ******* way so I can park and get into the store. It takes me a lot and I mean A LOT to be able to get myself out of the house, its not easy. I have to get dressed and appropriate looking for public, I have to get the wheelchair into the car, drive to wherever I need to go without having a panic attack and freaking out. If there aren't any handicap spots where I can get my car door ALL THE WAY OPEN I can't get in or out of the car or do my wheelchair at all. If I can get a spot THAT INVOLVES ME DRAGGING MYSELF ON THE GROUND THE ENTIRE TIME to do my wheel chair. SCREW YOU FOR THINKING YOUR BEING CHILLY AND LAZY IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN PEOPLE WHO ACTUALLY ARE DISABLED!!!!! Also I agree with some of the other posts, some people don't deserve the handicap parking but have it anyways... But this douche deserves to be punched in the face and live a week in my shoes, you'll be crying by 630am when my husband goes to work and you have to do everything without any help. Oh and I have a 1 year old. Thanks for for giving me endless fml whenever I try to go out. thanks!

If you parked there, and there was nobody else in the parking lot except you, I agree that does kind of suck. Otherwise that was a dick thing to do, because you never know when someone might pull up that actually needs it. It's pretty pathetic that you couldn't handle being out in the cold for 10 seconds, and you still broke the law. YDI

Actually, maybe there were plenty of empty disabled parking spaces... They are almost always empty.. It's not like he was actually depriving someone, is it ? (however i agree about the op being an ass for breaking the law, but i do not think there should be a special law for parking.. like the US is missing parking space !)
