Today, I got home from a family trip to Disney World. I had taken nearly 300 photos of our trip on my new digital camera. As our car pulled into the driveway, I was using my camera to try to delete one unflattering shot of me. I accidentally deleted every picture off the memory card. FML

What?! Every digital camera I've used has a confirmation step, so that you would have had to hit 'yes' or something like it twice to avoid situations just like the one the OP had.

I would have cried. Honest. I love taking pictures and I would hate for the same thing to happen to me.

This happened to me!:( i was in the water taxi in venice. Blame the dumb*ss who designed the camera so these buttons are next too each other.

Just ask the liberty activists in the Free State Project: Undelete software is out there so that if you (or a cop) deletes your photos and footage, It'll come right back. Basically what happens is it goes invisible and when you take new photos, they take the place of the old ones.

No problem, you can restore all delated pics, just don't take over new pictures

You know, it would have been even funnier if she had deleted all of them apart from the one she was trying to delete in the first place. Oh how I love irony.

You can use a photo recovery program. those usually work!
