Today, I got home from a family trip to Disney World. I had taken nearly 300 photos of our trip on my new digital camera. As our car pulled into the driveway, I was using my camera to try to delete one unflattering shot of me. I accidentally deleted every picture off the memory card. FML

What?! Every digital camera I've used has a confirmation step, so that you would have had to hit 'yes' or something like it twice to avoid situations just like the one the OP had.

When you delete pictures from a camara and then connect it to a computer it uploads them as trash files. Just find them and restore them.

This is why I delete my photos after I upload them onto my computer. But then again, my camera has an option to recover photos.

Derp. I guess there is reason still for those good ol' 35mm cameras, although I'd expect that you're the type that would accidentally expose them... ¯(º_o)/¯ Be more careful next time.

don't use it at all for now, there's ways to get them back. u download some program. I duno, google it. my bf's done it for some friends a couple of times now...

My camera doesn't have a confirmation button it's one little click on delete or delete all. It's possible the op has the same problem.

wow, your life is so ******.You deleted the pictures from a vacation. Poor you. If it was a wedding or something, FYL. But really. You could have deleted it later on your computer or have actually read the screen of your camera. Yes, it's annoying, but your life is so not ******.
