Today, I got home from a family trip to Disney World. I had taken nearly 300 photos of our trip on my new digital camera. As our car pulled into the driveway, I was using my camera to try to delete one unflattering shot of me. I accidentally deleted every picture off the memory card. FML

What?! Every digital camera I've used has a confirmation step, so that you would have had to hit 'yes' or something like it twice to avoid situations just like the one the OP had.

I would have cried. Honest. I love taking pictures and I would hate for the same thing to happen to me.

It happened to my in Vegas. It seems that what happens in Vegas... 

Learn to use the camera first. If you're unsure, wait til you get home and can put them all on the computer, then go through a delete the ones you don't want.

I work in a photo studio and god only knows how many times I've accidently formated the wrong memory card. Theres a program thats free to download called PC Inspector Smart Recovery thats specificaly for recovering from memory card. It's real simple any idiot can figure out how to work it you'll be fine as long as you dont take any more pictures on that memory card.

DON'T take anymore pics and just UNDELETE them with Recuva its free and they will all be there if you didn't take anymore pics

Omg! That happened to me too when *I* was in Florida at Disney World and I had about 300 to 400 pictures too! That's funny...but kinda not. :/
