Today, I got chickenpox. I'm 28 and having chickenpox as an adult is excruciatingly painful. When I told my boss I wasn't going to be at work today because of chickenpox he replied, "That's the worst excuse I've ever heard. Adults don't get chickenpox." He then fired me. FML

Today, I found out I could not go to the Philippines because I have never had Chicken Pox. The school took the radical decision to prohibit students who have never had Chicken Pox to leave the college. I am condemned to stay in Hong Kong in some shitty project because I am a healthy young man. FML

Today, while working as a veterinary assistant, an owner stood extremely close to me and kept accidentally petting me instead of her dog. After her dog was examined, she asked me if I'd ever had the chickenpox because she has shingles and it's contagious to those who haven't. I haven't. FML

Today, I'm halfway through of packing my stuff as we are moving to another flat. I discovered that I got chickenpox, which means that I should do no hard physical work. I've got a fever and a headache. It started raining in the morning, so loading stuff to truck is going to be so much fun. FML

Today, my boss forced me to come into work despite having a bad cold. While waiting a table, I violently sneezed and sprayed a child's face with snot. His dad got so pissed that my boss had to pretend to fire me just to calm him down. FML

I would sue the sh*t out of your boss and the company. There are alot of adults that get chickenpox and it's a fact that it's alot worse to get it as an adult than it is to get it as a child. My aunt is a doctor and she said your boss is a dumb a$$. Lol

First of all you can sew him, that is completely unacceptable. Second of all, my sister's husband's dad got chicken pox when he was 45 and died from it, it's a serious thing and your boss can treat you like that. you can go find a lawayer and ******* take the company from him

Your boss is a moron if he thinks adults can't get chickenpox. Yes, most of us go through it as children and thereby become immune. But, others aren't as lucky and have to go through it as adults which can sometimes be deadly.

Shingles comes from the chicken pox virus. You have to get chicken pox first. Adults can get chicken pox it is just uncommon. OP should seriously take this to court.
