I commend you...most wives don't put out!
Not the brightest one is he, he should appreciate the effort.. I would ;)
I understand where you're coming from, but in general, it's just bad form to buy yourself something and say its a gift to someone else.
i agree with your husband. buying yourself new underwear and claiming it's for him is almost as bad as him buying you underwear and claiming it's for you - even though he bought the lingerie for himself to look at.
He's got a point! I have to take his side on this! I never bought lingerie for myself & gave it to my hubby! I'd buy it & have it on when he got home from work!
Why do females do that? Assume them dressing sexy is a present for their other half? People talk about "what it leads to" but sex involves 2 people no? So it's really a present for yourself. Sex isn't a gift.
You made an interesting point. (:
I think it's weird that a girl buying something for herself is considered a good present, but men buying something for themselves is usually classed as cheap. If I buy underwear or a sexy outfit, it's a gift, even though I'd also enjoy it and it would be me that actually owned the "gift". Well, I find men in tailored suits sexy but I bet if a guy bought himself a suit to turn me on, nobody would consider it a good gift, would they?
My sisters boyfriend tried to put it on, when she got santa lingerie. But yeah, that is kinda funny!
Tell him to wear it! He'll realize it looked better on you and get over it

Well I won't call lingerie a present, its more like gift wrapping paper. hehe
He's an angry elf!
