Today, I finally got my stubborn toddler to take an afternoon nap after an hour and a half of wrestling with her. Ten minutes later, a UPS package arrived at my door. The UPS man decided it would be a good idea to ring my doorbell repeatedly in rapid-fire sequence as he was walking away. FML

Was the package roofies to knock your child out for a nice long nap? Because that's just irresponsible drugging your child like that.

Maybe you shouldn't have wrestled with your child with an hour and a half, then there wouldn't be such a problem.

That's why I always made lots of noise around my babies and kids so they would sleep through anything. And as a mama who has fought that long to get 18 month old asleeptake or leave this advice. Start skipping naps. Keep them up then start putting them to bed earlier than normal bed time to make up the difference. If they happen to doze off around four or five wake them up like thirty minutes later. Fighting only stresses you both out. Nap time was one of the few things I was lenient with and we were happier for it. Like I said take it or leave it. I know you will tons of advice. I hope something you read here on fml will help

That's good advice. I let my kids take naps when ever they want as long as they are awake from 6 to bedtime.

Jeesh people! You must not have kids to be saying she shouldn’t be mad about this. One run is all that is necessary to let a person know to go to the door. I have 2 toddlers and would be pissed if someone woke up one of them.

For doing his job? God, it is like the second some people have kids, they turn into huge, self-centered babies themselves! If you really can't bare a second of your child being woken up, why do you even have a doorbell in the first place? Why can't you put a sign? It really isn't that hard!

You should try taking your child on a car ride with soft music playing. Many people in my family have done that to get their child to get to sleep. What's a few dollars for gas if it saves you an hour or more to get your child to sleep? Also if I was in your situation I would've gone out that and bitched the guy out, probably slapping him too. That's no way to treat someone, I don't care if you're an ass or not.
