Today, when I tried to break up with my girlfriend of 2 years, she had no idea we were even dating. She thought of all the movies, dinners, and "sleepovers" I had with her was because we were such great friends. FML

Seems like you dodged a major bullet. I wonder if you would have proposed to her, she would suggest to be married as friends.

Dating, 2016 style.

Regardless of how it happened, at least you won't have a psycho ex!

She knows what she's doing. And what she's doing is other dudes.

Also in two years there wasn't a moment where OP tried to kiss said girl and she was like "woah bro what are you doing?"

You clearly not on same page.. Forget the same page you guys literally in different books

Yep, his is romance and hers is a comedy.

or maybe he is very stupid

So you wish you didn't have a girlfriend?

i dont have a girlfriend. and there's negative need for one, so... im safe in wishing that i dont want a girlfriend. a female best friend is good for me :)

Works well both ways!

Soooo you never once called her your girlfriend or introduced her to anyone as your girlfriend....? I feel like this one is on you dude not her....

Literally nowhere did OP say that, and I highly doubt it if they were dating for two years. As an earlier comment said, it's probably more likely that she did actually know and was just trying to save face in the break-up

And yet you never even discussed t in the past two years? How did your relationship even start?! She must have given you hints at some point during that period of time?!?!

I agree, don't most couples have a relationship talk about the future once it starts getting serious? I feel like this should be a common talk after like 6 months, so you know to continue on or not.
