Today, my son told me he needed a haircut. I was thrilled that he actually requested it, since he normally throws a fit over getting them. He described the cut he wants. It's a mullet. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Follicularly challenged
Today, I took my 5 year-old son to the barbershop. When the barber had finished with him, I told the barber, "While we're here, I might as well get a trim too." My son then exclaimed loudly inside a very full barbershop, "Dad! You don't need a haircut, you need hair!" FML
Today, my 4-year-old son cut half of my hair when I was asleep because he thought I would look better that way. FML
Today, my husband has decided to grow a mullet. FML
Lockdown fashion
Today, my partner got a lockdown haircut. He now has a mullet. FML
Bad hair day
Today, I went to get a haircut and the first thing the lady asked was, "So, do you want to keep the mullet?" What mullet?! FML

Today, after discussing having our son's hair styled nicely for school, my ex returned him with his head shaved. I didn't realise bald was in style for 4-year-olds. FML
Today, I went to my hair dresser to get my haircut. When she asked me what I wanted, I told her "the usual". She confused me with another customer and gave me a mullet. FML
Today, my 8 year old son cut his own hair. He did a better job than I ever did. I'm a hairdresser. FML
Haircut, haircuuuut
Today, I came to the decision that I needed some variety in my life, so I decided to get a haircut. My mom insisted that she could do it and that she had experience because she cuts my dad's short hair. I had thick, long hair. Now, my hair is uneven, ugly and short. FML
Today, while my mother-in-law visited, I asked if she wouldn't mind watching my son for 10 minutes as I had run out of baby shampoo. I came back home to see she had shaved his head completely bald. That was his very first haircut. FML

Well it's his hair. I couldn't stand when my mom tried to control my hairstyle when I was younger, just let him experiment, it always grows back :p

Absolutely agree... I used to sport the short spiky boycut when I was a kid... I loved being myself even though the elders disapproved and told me I should have braided long hair. It felt awesome :)

Let him get it. He'll learn his lesson when everyone starts laughing at him in public.

Or he'll suddenly start bringing hot older babes over and be the most popular kid in school. :)

Be a good parent and tell him what haircut to get when he's older he can chose his own haircut... Unless he's over 10 then disregard my comment

Make him get a buzz cut and just make him put clip-in hair extensions in the back. Best of both worlds.

So what? He wants to be a bad ass! Don't worry about it. And by the way... I don't see how this situation constitutes a FML.

Isn't everything unpopular becoming popular now? If he wants it, let him get it. See how long it takes him to crack and shave it all off just to separate him as far as possible from that horrible decision. xD
