Today, my roommate thought it would be a good idea to show me his huge new tarantula despite knowing that I have extremely severe arachnophobia. I ended up killing it with a book and apparently now owe him $500. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Today, I faced down the Godzilla of all spiders. I smashed the goddamned holy shit out of it. Trying to impress my cute new roommate, I scooped up the remains and showed him. It was his pet tarantula. FML
Today, my girlfriend bought me a pet tarantula. I now have one of my biggest fears crawling around my house. FML
Today, knowing that I have severe arachnophobia, my brother brought over his friend's tarantula. One hour later, the spider got loose. It's been 5 hours and I'm afraid to go to sleep. FML
Today, I spotted a huge spider in my bedroom. I freaked out at first, but I managed to confront my arachnophobia and killed it with a book. I was ecstatic and went to tell my boyfriend. By the time I returned to my room, the "dead" spider had vanished. Now I'm too scared to sleep. FML
Today, my boss captured a huge spider and put it in a jar on the desk in our shop. He's named it Fluffy and is threatening to fire me if I harm it. I'm horribly arachnophobic and we share that desk. FML
Today, I found a big spider on my wall. I have arachnophobia, and I was trying to kill it with my shoe. I pulled back and hit myself in the face, causing me to fall backwards. The spider is still alive somewhere in my house. FML
Today, I went to see a therapist for help with my severe fear of spiders. The therapist held a big spider in a box inches away from my face. I ran to the back of the room and asked him why. He responded with, "Aren't therapists supposed to help you face your fears?" I'm paying $150 an hour. FML
She definitely won though
Today, as part of our prank war, my girlfriend found a hairy tarantula picture and stuck it on the wall. I hadn't yet told her I'm arachnophobic, and when I saw it I passed out and hit my head hard enough to need an ambulance. She decided she's won the war and I don't get a say in the matter. FML
Shouldn't you be at the ER?
Today, I finally gave in and agreed to try holding my girlfriend's pet tarantula. The moment I did, it bit me. According to her she’s had him 4 years and he’s never so much as nipped her, never mind a full bite. Lucky me. My hand is twice the normal size and I can feel my heartbeat in it. FML
They're not real
Today, my girlfriend, KNOWING I have severe arachnophobia, changed the wallpapers on my phone and tablet to pictures of tarantulas, all because she's mad at me. And she won't change it back. FML

if you have severe arachnophobia how did you have the guts to kill it? for me even if they are small I can't do it..

sounds like the roommate got jacked for about 460 bucks or so. With him being raped for that price did they use ky on him?And if he did pay that much he's as dumb as a box of rocks. Or he's trying to pull a fast one over on you O.P.?

well I didn't see the error, and I wasn't going to say anymore until you decided to be dumbass and respond, so I retorted back. you can't just leave a comment like that and expect no reply, you knew full and well that I was going to see it, so in that case you WANTED me to respond. If you didn't, you wouldn't have left the comment. think before you speak (or comment in this case) because everything your saying is making you look really stupid.

"I accidently pressed e after your so it autocorrected it to you're. once I pressed space, it automatically replaced my mistake "youre" with "you're"." -- You idiot. You did see it. You still have a two minute window to edit your post after you post it... you obviously saw it at some point. Even if you didn't notice it within that two minute window, you can easily reply to your own post with the correction. Stop trying to prove you're not a moron yourself. Thou dost protest too much. My pointing out of your flawed logic does not make me a dumb-ass. All your excuses makes you the dumb-ass. I didn't necessarily want you to respond; I was indifferent. Thanks, though. Try again next time? Edit: Looks like you're still confusing 'you're' and 'your', so it seems like I was right all along and it wasn't just a typing error. It can't be if you make the same mistake every time.

@269 I agree. I would not class my self as phobic, but I definitely know I don't like spiders. I freeze up when I see them and only kill if no one else is around to do it, even with small ones.

you have officially stopped making sense and need help. stfu, you crazy bitch. you are such an attention seeker. goodbye, and **** you.

I'm sorry your pathetic little troll brain can't comprehend my previous post. Better luck next time. Yeah, coming from the one who's been seeking attention by trolling this entire page... you'd think you'd know what attention seeking is.

Seriously?! You're such a dumb twat you can't even prepare yourself for something like this?! Ran out of the room if it got too scary, but you were either killing it for attention (and to confirm your boyfriend that he's not allowed to keep this as a pet as long he's with you) or plainly just too

She wasn't killing it for attention, and it wasn't her boyfriend's tarantula. Learn to ******* read. It was her roommate's tarantula; she killed it because it was part of her instant reaction. She may not have meant to actually kill it, but apparently her first thought was to throw a book on it because she's scared of it. She wasn't thinking rationally.

Make the roomate pay YOU! They knew you had arachnophobia. They did it themselves for being dumb.
