Today, my girlfriend came home with a huge bouquet of roses. They were from an admirer, brainwashing her to think I'm a terrible boyfriend for not buying her flowers like he did. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
So brave…
Today, I got a bouquet of beautiful flowers from someone I'd never heard of. My boyfriend flipped his shit and stormed out, calling me a cheater. I called the flower shop. Turns out he made a fake order, just so he could accuse me of cheating and dump me. FML
Today, I received a bunch of flowers from my 'lover'. This would be fine, except that I don't have a lover, and my boyfriend now thinks I'm cheating. FML
Sussy
Today, on a whim, I bought my wife some flowers on my way home. She put them in a vase then asked me what stupid thing I did that I’m pre-apologising for. She refuses to believe I bought her flowers for any other reason. Man, I must be a really shitty husband. FML
Today, I bought the girl I like a bouquet of roses saying "Anonymous" on it, and left it on her front porch. She saw it, and called the guy she thought it was from. He said, "You're welcome!" and now they're going out. FML
Gratitude
Today, I brought my girlfriend flowers. All she managed to do was to say, "It’s been a year since you brought me flowers." FML
Today, I bought my crush a bouquet of roses plus one fake. The line was going to be, "I'll stop loving you when the last rose dies." I told my best friend and he thought it was such an amazing idea that he stole the fake rose and gave it to her himself. Guess who got the girl. FML
Mixed signals
Today, my boyfriend surprised me with a bouquet of flowers he'd picked himself. This would’ve been romantic, had they not all been Poison Hemlock. FML
Today, I received a bouquet of flowers from my boyfriend, which is something he's never done before. Unfortunately, this was his way of apologizing for cheating on me. FML
Today, I had a fight with my boyfriend over a girl he is close to. He later arrived with flowers for what I thought was an apology. He was actually breaking up with me; the flowers were for her, he just didn't want to leave them in the car. FML
Never enough
Today, my girlfriend returned home from a several week vacation with family. Instead of a happy reunion, I was terribly emasculated, publicly, for bringing flowers that "weren't as pretty as all the other couples' in baggage claim." FML

Someone needs to step up in the romance department. Although, she probably bought them herself.

Find out who it is and kick his ass. Whoever it is, is an ass for interfering in your relationship in such an immature manner whether you're a shitty boyfriend or not.

And kicking the guy's ass for giving his gf flowers isn't also immature?

Uh... I can understand being upset about some random guy putting the moves on your girlfriend, but what is up with that last part? "He's obviously brainwashing her to think I'm terrible!" The only time I've heard people come to that sort of conclusion were overly possessive and abusive. If you feel like flowers are enough to make you look bad, maybe you are just bad...

Sounds like your already aware that you're not romantic enough OP if you know the reason why she would accept another persons flowers. Step up the romance. Ive never understood why guys think its ok to not bring flowers and treat us like ladies anymore. Thats one thing i hate about our generation. Not many guys understand the importance of romancing their girl...

Because "romancing their girl" by buying her expensive and cliche things like flowers and jewelry is bullshit, imo. It objectifies the relationship and her worth as a romantic partner.

It's hard to expect to be treated like Buckingham Palace when you behave like Jersey Shore. People have started behaving in a modern way in everyday life, but still yearn for the old romantic ways in love. Not everyone can make that transition easily, nor do they all know how.

Try getting her a potted plant. Roses die so quickly that they aren't worth it. Getting a potted rose if they are her favorite. Most girls want to know that you know them well enough to know what their favorite is. I have a potted lily that my husband got me and I look at it every day and smile!

I have the black thumb of death when it comes to caring for plants. Buy me a book as a present and I'm in heaven! lol

My boyfriend got me books for Christmas last year. It was the sweetest gift ever.

If its been a long term relationship try surprising her with something. Take her dancing, camping. Do something just the two of you to bring back a little spark. She may not have been trying to rub it in your face. Sometimes it's just nice to get flowers. I buy them from my mum every so often. She hasn't left you for the admirer so you are in a perfect situation to do something spontaneous to surprise her. As much as girls say they don't want flowers or anything expensive once in a while flowers can be cute. Try to remind her of why she fell in love with you by going back to the days when you were dating and take her out for a nice night!
