Today, on his way out of our apartment, my roommate's friend reached over and grabbed a handful of my popcorn. I was only mildly annoyed, until a little later, when I pulled out from between my teeth what could only have been a pubic hair. FML
Today, I walked in on my roommate flat-ironing his pubic hair. FML
Today, during gym class, I wanted to show off in front of my classmates by doing a headstand in the middle of the gym. I wanted to hold the position, except my shirt came out of my pants and exposed my belly and breasts to all my classmates. Everyone burst out laughing. It was so embarrassing. FML
Today, my friend commented on my short skirt and, thinking she was being funny, tried to pull it down. I quickly moved away, causing it to come off in her hands. My shocked scream attracted the attention of at least a dozen bystanders. FML
Today, I was lifting weights at the gym and felt proud of myself for pushing through a tough set. Then, I looked down and noticed my shorts had ripped right along the seam. Based on their disgusted faces, everyone behind me got an unwelcome show. FML
Today, my friend decided to pants me in the middle of the mall. I wasn't wearing underwear. FML
Today, I was waxing my legs and somehow dropped an enormous dollop of hot wax on my naked crotch. I refused to yank it off, but still had to cut it off with scissors. So now I have a huge patch of pubic hair way shorter than the rest of it. It looks a right mess FML
Today, I, a man in his 40’s, wanted to rid myself of all back, thigh, buttock, and pubic hair. The first strip of pubic hair the tall 22 year-old girl yanked on almost made me cry, and almost made me knee her in the face. FML

No, armpit hair doesn't really serve an important function. Pubic hair (at least, vaganial hair), much like nosehairs, stops stuff that shouldn't be there from getting into your vag. Trim it, fine, but shaving isn't such a good idea.

She is not gross or disgusting. She obviously has a different view on pubic hair length i guess. In fact some doctors recommend pubic hair because it protects against bacteria but then again the hair can be a housing for the bacteria. It all depends on what your point of view is. OP it would not hurt to trim a little. Especially if they come out of your pants. FYL

actually hygiene is about being clean and washing, not about shaving hair off. if it was about shaved hair, then we'd all walk around with every hair shaved off, including eyebrows and scalps. hell if being shaved was clean then men would shave their legs and pubic hairs off too. what really gets rid of bacteria? ... washing on a regular basis. but more importantly, why would someone else reach over to pull a hair from between someone else's legs anyway. sounds a bit like boundary issues...

Actually I recently read an article about this. Historically (like for the cavemen/women, etc.), pubic hair was there to protect the area from foreign particles and bacteria, but now that we wear underwear and pants, it's safe to be without the wig if you want to be.

If its long enough to be noticeable sticking out of her pants, that's where I'd cross the line. Im definitely all for people who take care of themselves and their bodies.
