Today, as things were getting hot with my girlfriend, it came up that I'm a virgin. She broke up with me. FML
Today, I told my wife I wanted a divorce. I haven’t been in love with her for a long time and I've fallen in love with a girl at my job. When I told her this, she responded with, “No, fuck that, we're going to couples' therapy and you are gonna be a father to our kids!” I guess that’s a “No.” FML
Today, I took my girlfriend of 3 years out to where we had our first date. I proposed to her. She breaks down in tears as she tells me she's been sleeping with her co-worker for the past year. FML
Today, my girlfriend broke up with me because I was too tired for sex, which she interpreted as me confessing to not wanting to have sex with her because I’m having sex with other women. FML

Abuse is a horribly traumatic thing to endure at any point in your life. I'm sorry OP that you had to go through that. I hope the person that hurt you is rotting in jail or in hell. I have 0 tolerance for abusers. I hate people that make excuses for someone that's abusive. You shouldn't be able to walk this earth if you allow such evil to escape from your body! I have dealt with so many sex offenders and it makes me sick to think about the things these people would do. Your girlfriend is obviously being insensitive, but she may just be scared.

You should have told that lady (and I use that term lightly) that your are not a statistic and she shouldn't make you out to be one. Obviously she has issues she's not dealing and your are lucky you are not in this relationship anymore!

OP, I'm very sorry that life has been shitty for you. It sucks to have to deal with that sort of abuse and it's a very vulnerable moment when you decide to share that information with someone you find important enough to tell. Just know that if that's the way she is going to react to that, she's not worth your time. I hope you find it easy to start the search for someone who IS worth your time.
