Look on the bright side.. at least your biological mother wasn't the one that raised you (i'm assuming she wasn't since this is the first time you met her..)

That's not an assumption; it's a logical deduction. It would be an assumption to decide the OP wasn't adopted, and to interpret "biological mother" as "my mother's true nature, otherwise hidden for the entire time she raised me."

That's a real shame. I'll bet you're glad she let someone else raise you and you turned out better than she could have ever done.
