Today, I had to tell a girl I liked she couldn't sleep over because I live with my parents. I'm 24. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Today, the guy I've been seeing for a few months told me he couldn't stay overnight because his mom would yell at him for not coming home. We're both 30 and I didn't know he still lived at home. FML
Today, I woke up next to my girlfriend. I was woken up by my mother breaking into my house to tell me I need to get ready for work. Then she got mad that I had a girl over. I'm 20. FML
Today, excited that I finally got a place of my own, I invited my boyfriend over for a sexy sleep over. He told me his mom doesn't want him sleeping over. He's 21 years old. FML
Today, I had to hide in the closet all morning because my 22-year-old boyfriend didn't want to admit to his parents that he had his girlfriend stay the night. FML
Today, I learned that my 29-year-old boyfriend won't stay the night at my house because he lives at home with his parents and doesn't want to have "the discussion" with his mom about me. FML
Today, my boyfriend and I got into trouble with his mother for me still being at their house at 1:00 am. I'm 24, he's 22 and we really were studying. FML
Today, my mum cleaned my room. When I got home she yelled at me for having condoms. I'm 24 years old and in a long term relationship. FML
Surprise surprise!
Today, my girlfriend's parents have been having issues with her older brother and her mom called to say she was flying over to stay with my girlfriend. I'm twice my girlfriend's age and she hasn't told her parents about me. She also sublet out her apartment and we have been living together for over a year. FML
Today, my girlfriend broke up with me because I said I wouldn't find her attractive in 20 years. What I actually said was that I wouldn't sleep with her mother now, who happens to be 20 years older than her. FML
Today, my boyfriend threw a fit because I "still" live with my mother at age 30. I bought her an apartment in my building and hired a live-in nurse because she is senile and permanently bedridden. FML

Right now, lots of 24 year-olds live with their parents. Normally I'd be with #2 and say get a job, but obviously the job market is pretty poor at the moment.

I don't really think that would be considered a sleep over when you're that old :P

Nothing wrong with that, especially how the economy is now.

24's not too bad. I don't know why she couldn't stay over, you are old enough to have girls spend the night. If you want to have girls over to **** move out.

Well, it is his parents house, and if they don't permit it, he really can't say anything since he IS living in their house.

Continuation of #9 Nevermind!! I misread the FML, I thought he said he was gunna have a sleepover, but he just said that she was going to sleep over, not have a sleepover. Sowwwwy!!

You can see how living off Mommy and Daddy is starting to work against you, right?

Wait, I don't understand. Why can't she sleep over? Are your parents assholes to that degree?? And as always, ignore everyone saying "YDI, you live with your parents." Most of them are in no position to talk, and have no idea what it's like worrying about bills, or how much money your own place costs.

In this economy, I can understand why you live with your parents still.
