Today, I had a job interview at 9:00am. I left at around 8:30am, and as soon as I got in the car to drive to the interview, I checked my phone again, and it said 10:33. My boyfriend had decided to change the time on my clock as a "joke." FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Great first impression
Today, I woke up early for a job interview. I got lost and arrived an hour late, only to find out it was the wrong day. FML
Today, I had a job interview. I got there as quick as I could, having to travel two hours into a city I'd never been to. When I arrived, they told me I was turned down for being too late. They'd rescheduled the interview an hour earlier and I wasn't notified of the change. FML
Today, I woke up at 11:11am. I was happy because I thought it was a sign that it was going to be a good day. I then realized that I was over an hour late for a job interview. FML
Today, I had an interview for my dream job. I spent all of last night preparing, researching the company, and making sure everything was perfect. My interview was for 8am. I woke up at 10:30 to an alarm that had not gone off. FML
Late late late
Today, after going to bed at a decent time last night so I could get up early, I overslept. Not only that, I thought today was the day of my job interview, so I rushed to get ready and go. As I parked in the parking lot, I realized today was the day before said interview. FML
Wait here
Today, I showed up on time for a job interview. After waiting for about three hours, I was informed that the manager had "better things to do" than interview me. FML
Today, I decided to take a nap before a big job interview at 6. I set two alarm clocks to make sure I didn't miss it, but I woke up at 5:59. As I'm scrambling in a panic to get out the door, my mom says calmly, "I took your alarm clocks out of your room because you looked really tired today." FML
Today, wanting to be on time for my first job interview, I woke up at the crack of dawn and walked almost an hour through a thunderstorm. When I arrived, I was told that the manager wasn't in today, because of the bad weather. FML
Today, I was scheduled for an interview at 3 o'clock. I allowed thirty minutes for the drive, but when I put my key in the ignition, the car wouldn't start. FML
Today, my daughter decided it'd be funny to change the time on my clock. My boss didn't think it was funny. FML

why dont you put alarm in ur mobile if it's an important interview

I find it funny you say that because every time there is an FML involving the alarm on a mobile phone there are a billion different " YDI for using your phone as an alarm" and "Why don't you just buy an alarm clock" comments. This time the FML involves an actual clock and your comment is asking why she didn't set an alarm on her phone.

oh god. that boyfriend would become an ex-boyfriend real fast. for those saying the bf should call the company - it'd be nice if it worked like that, but honestly, i would wonder about her if he's the kind of company that she keeps. maybe they'll be nice, but it's not terribly realistic to expect she'll get the chance.

It's pretty much guaranteed that OP's lost her chance at the job. Most interviewers wouldn't give a second look to anyone who can't make it to an interview on time, regardless of their excuse. Even if it's not OP's fault, employers just don't want to deal with someone who might be unreliable, regardless of their circumstances. Costing people jobs (even potential ones) is not a joke, and that boyfriend probably needs to go. Either that, or he can feel free to pay OP's bills for her, since he doesn't seem to think she should have a job to do it for herself.

@97 Chances are she won't break up with him. She is an idiot. I guarantee this is not the first time he has done something this stupid. Basically, she is an idiot.
