Today, I had a job interview at 9:00am. I left at around 8:30am, and as soon as I got in the car to drive to the interview, I checked my phone again, and it said 10:33. My boyfriend had decided to change the time on my clock as a "joke." FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Great first impression
Today, I woke up early for a job interview. I got lost and arrived an hour late, only to find out it was the wrong day. FML
Today, I had a job interview. I got there as quick as I could, having to travel two hours into a city I'd never been to. When I arrived, they told me I was turned down for being too late. They'd rescheduled the interview an hour earlier and I wasn't notified of the change. FML
Today, I woke up at 11:11am. I was happy because I thought it was a sign that it was going to be a good day. I then realized that I was over an hour late for a job interview. FML
Today, I had an interview for my dream job. I spent all of last night preparing, researching the company, and making sure everything was perfect. My interview was for 8am. I woke up at 10:30 to an alarm that had not gone off. FML
Late late late
Today, after going to bed at a decent time last night so I could get up early, I overslept. Not only that, I thought today was the day of my job interview, so I rushed to get ready and go. As I parked in the parking lot, I realized today was the day before said interview. FML
Wait here
Today, I showed up on time for a job interview. After waiting for about three hours, I was informed that the manager had "better things to do" than interview me. FML
Today, I decided to take a nap before a big job interview at 6. I set two alarm clocks to make sure I didn't miss it, but I woke up at 5:59. As I'm scrambling in a panic to get out the door, my mom says calmly, "I took your alarm clocks out of your room because you looked really tired today." FML
Today, wanting to be on time for my first job interview, I woke up at the crack of dawn and walked almost an hour through a thunderstorm. When I arrived, I was told that the manager wasn't in today, because of the bad weather. FML
Today, I was scheduled for an interview at 3 o'clock. I allowed thirty minutes for the drive, but when I put my key in the ignition, the car wouldn't start. FML
Today, my daughter decided it'd be funny to change the time on my clock. My boss didn't think it was funny. FML

Can someone PLEASE edit this FML so it doesn't have spaces before the punctuation? I think I speak for grammar Nazis everywhere when I say it's very annoying and unnecessary.

I agree with #52. You should make your boyfriend apologize to the company for his silliness and get your job interview back. Like, seriously dude, are you ten? You shouldnt do that sort of thing to someone your dating. Do you like paying bills? Do you just like your girlfriend at home? TELL THEM THAT.

They probably wouldn't hire her at this point, anyway. They don't need all the drama associated with an asshole of a boyfriend.

It's a long shot, but you could let the company know you're no longer going to be with him after this point because of what he'd done. Some companies may take that into consideration and give her an interview.

that's true. if i were the interviewer, depending on her credentials, i might reconsider.

Your boyfriend has an offbeat sense of humor. So, he'd probably get a big kick out of you accidentally ******* his best friend. As a joke, of course.

both of you are pretty dumb... ydi for not looking at more than one time-telling device

since this has never happened before she has no reason to distrust the clock she checked...

Of course! I'd like to see any other poster on here think to look at more than one clock when they've never had reason to doubt their first clock! Unless, of course, they live with a complete jerk.
