Today, I got into the shower with my glasses on by mistake. I spent 5 minutes convinced that the fog in my vision was me going blind. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Seeing is believing
Today, while taking a shower, I thought that the bathroom was extra steamy because of all the hot water. It wasn't until two-three minutes later when I put some shampoo in my hair that I realized I had forgotten to take my glasses off. FML
Today, I woke up thinking after wearing glasses and contacts all my life that I had miraculously been corrected to 20/20. Turns out I had just fallen asleep with my contacts in. FML
Today, I was using the restroom at work when my glasses slipped off my face and landed right in the toilet. FML
Today, I bought an eye mask to help me sleep during the day, as I work night shifts. Upon waking up after my first time using it, I forgot I was wearing it and thought I had gone blind, causing me to fall out of the bed and split my head open on my bedside table. FML
Today, my thoughts that I'm going crazy were confirmed when I got into the shower with my socks on. The worst part is that I didn't realize it for a good five minutes. FML
Today, I went to get a facial. I forgot my contact case so I put them into paper cup. My beautician thought it was leftover water from someone else, and threw my only pair of vision aid away. I scuttled home half blind. FML
Today, I wore a pair of glasses with no lenses because I thought I'd look smarter. I ended up poking myself in the eye several times, leaving it swollen. So much for making me look smarter. FML
Car washed
Today, while scrubbing my car with the foam brush at a car wash, the hose for the brush came whipping around and smacked me hard in the side of the head, knocking off my glasses. I got disoriented from the blow and stepped on my glasses, completely smashing them. FML
Today, after an extremely hard day at work, I took a hot shower to wind down a little bit. I accidentally splashed a painful amount of hot water and shampoo in my eyes. My left contact is now stuck to my eyeball. FML
Today, I inadvertently gave passers by the middle finger as I tried to stop my glasses from sliding off my face. FML

Been there... Done that... When you where glasses 24/7, you sometimes forget about them :/

#14 I have worn glasses for 23 years and I have never done this. Given the obvious difference between vision with and with and with out glasses, I can not comprehend how someone can not realize they did not take their glasses off. Maybe that's just me though.

When you also take into consideration that your vision out side of the frames (peripheral vision) would have been exactly the same, and it looks exactly like a mirror fogging up, thinking your going blind because your glasses fogged up is just.......not all that bright. On a side note, this is only the first time your glasses will fog up. You should be prepared for future occurrences.

Add a bit of soap on your fingers, and wipe them on your glasses and you'll be able to see with them on! I honestly hate removing my glasses in the shower although i do to wash my face and ears but it's the last thing i do!

How does one forget to take their glasses off?

Done that many times! (Blind-as-a-bat-without-glasses people, represent!)

I've done that. On more than one occasion. Then I would take them off, get back in the shower, realize I could see better with the fogged up glasses than without and the panic I was feeling moments before would become sadness.
