Today, while I was trying to take off my eye make up, I accidentally used nail polish remover. FML
Today, I managed to accidentally drop an entire cake on my laptop's keyboard. There's so much frosting stuck under the keys, I have no idea how I'm going to clean it out. FML
Today, I learned that nail polish remover is, in fact, VERY flammable. And I learnt it the hard way. FML
Today, I spilled some milk on my laptop. I was pretty sure it would be fine as it was only a bit of milk. While cleaning the residue, I knocked a whole bucket of water into the insides of the laptop. RIP Macbook. FML
Today, I ruined a $1,500 laptop with a 69¢ bowl of ramen noodles. FML
Today, I decided to be healthy and drink a tall glass of water whilst doing my assignment that is due in three days. I managed to spill the entire glass over my laptop. I flipped it over and used a hairdryer to dry it off. While doing that, I managed to melt my keyboard. FML
Today, I was putting red nail polish on my nails and put a newspaper on the table to make sure that it didn't spill. I later discovered the nail polish made the newspaper stick to the table. I scrubbed nail polish remover on it, thinking it would help but instead bleached the table. FML
Today, I got angry at my computer, and instead of bashing my keyboard with my fists, I bashed my face on the keyboard. It REALLY hurt. FML
Today, I saw a spot on my computer screen. I tried to use my finger to rub it off. Then, I tried using my nail. Then I tried to windex it off. I continued scratching at it with my nail. A half hour and one scratched screen later, I realized the spot was part of the webpage I was looking at. FML
Today, I ruined my computer screen trying to kill a fly. FML

Well this has happened to my keyboard (I have a desktop). I didn’t know the acetone nail polish was leaking. I lost the volume down button. But i can still press it using a chopstick or scissors.

You can also strip paint with 100% acetone. What the hell type of nail polish are you using that requires that high of a concentration?

I'm guessing your computer is a laptop then since you didn't specify. But in the event it's not you should be able to just replace the keyboard. But I wouldn't even have liquids especially something like acetone that close to even a 10 dollar keyboard, nevermind an expensive laptop I just can't imagine why you would do that.

You can ruin a lot of things with acetone. That said, I didn't realize they still made nail polish remover containing acetone. (Then again, I've never needed any that strong and therefore never looked for it.) Now that I think about it, I'm not so sure I'd want to even use it. I distinctly remember a HS chem experiment/demo in which the teacher put a spoonful of pure acetone in a jar and then dissolved an entire large box worth of edible packing peanuts in it. Even if it smelled better, I'd still not want on my body.
