Today, I finally got up the courage to talk to my four-year boyfriend about how insecure I've been feeling in our relationship recently, and how I needed his support while I try to get my self-esteem back on-track. He fell asleep mid-conversation. FML
Today, while my boyfriend was asleep, I gave him a soft kiss and whispered how handsome and gentle he looked. His response, still asleep, was to roll over and let out a massive fart. FML
Today, my boyfriend came over to cheer me up after I'd had a sleepless night. He thought it would be a good time to propose. Unfortunately, it coincided with me yawning. FML
Today, I finally got the courage to tell my boyfriend that I love him. We've been dating almost a year and in a few days we will be moving into the same apartment building and attending the same college. He said, "I'm sorry, I don't feel the same way." FML
Today, my boyfriend and I were lying in bed together, and I was in a snuggly mood. I rolled over to gaze lovingly into his eyes and whisper sweet nothings to him in the darkness. His response? "Dear God! Did somebody fart in your mouth?!" FML
Today, I spontaneously poured my heart out for my boyfriend, telling him how much I love and adore him. He answered by leaning in close, saying, "Jolly good" in an affected accent, and burping loud and clear in my ear. FML
Today, my boyfriend fell asleep while watching TV. I thought it would be cute to try to kiss him awake like they do in the movies. He farted. FML
Today, I told my boyfriend that I love him. He replied by telling me to fuck off. FML
Today, my boyfriend woke up to me crying. He asked what was wrong, but before I could answer, he'd already rolled over and started snoring louder than ever, making the migraine I was crying about even worse. FML
Today, I woke up to find my boyfriend watching me sleep. I asked him if he was staring at me because he was in love. He replied that it was because my farting wouldn't let him sleep. FML

If it took either of you a year and a half to say I love you there's something seriously wrong with your relationship and you're not going to last long term so you might as well just end it now. My fiancee and I were saying that to each other after only a month. Sure maybe that's a tad fast, but we really did feel it that early on, and we still do after 4 years.

There isn't anything wrong with their relationship ! If they don't feel like they love eachother, clearly they're waiting for their love to be true rather than being one of those couples who say it within a week of dating

If it took a year and a half before one of them felt their love was "real" there's something wrong. Yes a lot of couples rush that concept, but I'd say if you don't know whether or not you could spend your life with someone after you've been with them for about a year that's probably a good sign that the answer is no.

He had the same year and a half that he did. If he even cared for her and respected her, he should've responded in some way even if it was to tell her he didn't feel the same. If after being together for over a year you still need to "work up courage" to have a conversation, something is not quite right. I wish you'd included your age as it matters if you are 14 or 41 here but ultimately you need to discuss where the relationship is heading.
