Today, my girlfriend of 3 weeks gave me an ultimatum: marry her, or she kills herself. FML
Today, I found out that my girlfriend of one week is suicidal and crazy about me. She showed me that she'd carved her old boyfriend's name in her arm, and she threatened suicide if I ever left her. FML
Today, my girlfriend of three weeks basically threatened to kill herself if I don't start thinking about having a child with her soon. FML
Today, my girlfriend told her parents that she's pregnant. We have never even come close to having sex, but she told them I'm the father. Not only is my girlfriend cheating on me, but her father now wants me dead. FML
Today, my girlfriend came to my house crying because the guy who she has been cheating on me with doesn't want to be with her anymore. FML
Today, the girl I've been seeing for just over a week casually let me know that she'll slash her wrists if I ever leave her. FML
Today, I was shopping with my girlfriend, when a girl came out of nowhere, screaming at me for cheating on her, and saying she was dumping me. I've never seen her before, and she was almost grinning during her little act, but my girlfriend believed it, and I'm now single. FML
Today, I confessed to my girlfriend that I cheated on her. She told me that she needed time to think, and left. An hour later, her dad came by with a baseball bat. FML
Today, I came up with the idea of pranking my girlfriend by telling her that I knew she was cheating on me. She then apologized. FML
Today, two months after forgiving my girlfriend for breaking my heart by cheating on me, I found out that she's cheating again with the same guy. When I confronted her, she basically said I brought it on myself and that I was an idiot for not dumping her the first time. FML

She's full of shit. She won't kill herself. She's too in love with herself. My ex husband did the exact same thing to me. I caught him cheating and when I said I wanted a divorce he threatened to kill himself. It worked exactly one more time. The third time I caught him cheating, I was done with his bullshit. He said, "I'm gonna kill myself!" and I told him, "Shut up. No you won't" Well guess what? Five years later that bag of dicks is still alive and onto his third or fourth wife because he's still putting women through the same bullshit. You are in an abusive relationship, OP. Get out now. The longer you take to get out of an abusive relationship, the more difficult it becomes. Trust me on this. I know from experience.

She won't, 40. I myself experienced ongoing suicidal thoughts at one point in my life. I didn't go around throwing the threat out there whenever I didn't get my way or wherever I was facing the consequences of treating other people like shit. If she cared enough about her relationship with OP to kill herself over it, she wouldn't have risked it by cheating in the first place. Think about it: Is it easier to be faithful or to kill yourself?

You don't deserve this guilt put on you, she is in the wrong; but if you believe she will hurt or kill herself, you NEED to call authorities. This way you know she is safe and to let others know you did not tell her to or push her to self harm or suicide. And depending on exact situation, especially if done multiple times, is a form of abuse and manipulation to make you stay with her as she threatens to do these things if you don't. Be careful, OP.

Someone who is close to her needs to know about this so you don't have to hold yourself accountable if she follows through...not that it would be anywhere near your fault either way but I wouldn't want to be dealing with that shit all by myself if I were you

as someone who has battled depression and suicidal thoughts, I don't think you should take it lightly. I don't think you should cater to her and forgive her or date her, but get her help. if you do nothing else call the police and explain the situation to them

Yeah, I was thinking that you could talk to one of her close friends or siblings. Make sure that she has a support system in place, and then let them support her.
