Today, a funny smelling liquid was sprayed all over the computer. Last week, I told my fully pottytrained but extremely reluctant toddler that he couldn't play Barney games until he used the big boy toilet. A 4 year old's revenge really sucks. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Today, I finally convinced my son to use the potty. Later, he saw a show on TV about a toilet monster. Now he's too scared to even step foot into the bathroom. Here's to another few months of diaper changes. FML
Today, I finally found where the awful lingering stench in my house was coming from. My son thought it would be funny to piss in the baby's humidifier. He's 16. FML
Hellooooo, Social Services?
Today, I spent two hours convincing my 3-year-old son that he can't poop on his 4-month-old brother out of retaliation for the baby pooping on him. He did it anyway. FML
Today, my toddler peed in his potty for the first time. He was so excited to show me that he flung the pot in the air dousing my face with his piss. Then he laughed. FML
Today, I caught my 4 year old son yet again trying to drink out of the toilet. FML
Today, the 3-year-old I nanny wanted to prove to me that he was tall enough to pee standing up in front of the toilet. When he realized he actually was tall enough, he got excited and misdirected his stream, covering himself, his brother, and me in urine. FML
Paper-thin walls
Today, I had to tell my 4 year-old, "I'm wiping my butt right now, I can't get you a drink. Please wait a minute." I distinctly heard my neighbor laughing through the bathroom window. FML
Today, I had to tell McDonald's that my 11-year-old son thought it would be funny to take a dump in the urinal. I then had to clean it up. FML
Potty drama
Today, my two year-old is being potty trained. He got the gist of it and actually did #1 and #2 in the potty and after our little celebratory dance, I went to get him a cookie (which took me two seconds). I come back to see him covered in shit and pee because he tried to go empty the potty himself. FML
Boys will be annoying boys
Today, I was under the impression that my kids would eventually grow out of wanting to watch me use the bathroom. Instead, my 7 year-old son attempted to pick the lock so he could watch me take a shit and make fun of me for it. FML

1. Find a way to neutralize the smell, perhaps vinegar. 2. Apply the substance to the computer, then dry off. 3. ???? 4. PROFIT!!!!!!!

I think the OP meant to say "A 4 year old's revenge really STINKS!".

I second this notion. Child abuse is just like stealing - it's only illegal if you get caught.

Because that is definitely something to be proud of...

I don't get why you think you're so cool for needing a bottle until you were 3... That's disgusting and your parents should be embarrassed by their lack of parenting skills

Your parents must've been pretty ******* spineless if they gave you what you wanted after you threw a tantrum because they didn't give it to you in the first place. When I was that age, if I threw a tantrum because I didn't get what I wanted, I got spanked, and to this day, I'm thrilled that my parents had a spine and gave me proper discipline when needed. I hope you don't reproduce.

Cause you know vinegar does wonders for computers. Might as well throw a handful of salt and sand in there too. You sir are retarded.

Jeez, let him progress at his own speed? YDI.

No, he KNOWS how to use the toilet. Kids just suck sometimes.

Umm, no. The kid is way past that. Me, my siblings, my cousins, and pretty much all the kids I've ever worked with or babysat were potty trained at age 2, 3 the latest. This kid is 4, if he's not properly potty-trained by age 5 he won't be allowed to enter school and will be a year behind. Not being potty-trained is a stupid and embarassing reason to be held back. I know the OP said he was "fully" potty-trained, but clearly something's off, as he should realize by now that it's NOT good to go in your pants, and should be making his own efforts to make it to the potty when he needs to. Now, if the OP only recently began potty-training him then it's a YDI, if s/he's been training him for a long time... Well I guess it could still be a YDI cuz at this point s/he is/was probably doing something wrong, but if the kid is just extraordinarily stubborn then FHL.

Yup! Everyone I know, grew up with, am related to, and babysat were allllll fully potty trained no later than 2.5 years. There's no reason a mentally healthy child should still be in a diaper by that age.

YDI for letting him watch Barney in the first place and getting him a game based on that gay dinosaur. But, you should just let him potty train at his own pace. Let him run around naked in the house. I swear it works!

When potty training because a war of wills, it's being done incorrectly. Now it's a power struggle. A definite "fail".

But he knows how to use a potty ("...fully pottytrained but extremely reluctant..."). Now he's just not wanting to. Can't let 'em roam around in diapers forever, you know.

YDI for not teaching your kid any better.

That's what you get for not potty-training them till they're old enough to think up revenge. I'm surprised you didn't wait till he was old enough to choose your nursing home.
