Today, my girlfriend complained that we never have sex anymore. The only way she ever wants sex is missionary, with barely any foreplay. When I asked if we could spice things up and mentioned a few simple ideas, she said the conversation was making her uncomfortable and changed the subject. FML
Today, after sex, my wife of three months said, "You know, sex isn't as good now that we're married… Maybe we should take a break." I said we should spice things up. She said, firmly, "No, let's stop" and wouldn't talk to me for the rest of the night. FML

I don't know about anyone else, but if I had a boyfriend and he did this, I would greatly appreciate it. This is a sweet and funny gesture and could rekindle the passion they used to have. But I suppose some people don't appreciate certain brands of humor. I guess it's just a matter of knowing what your significant other finds funny. (If she didn't find this funny, I don't know if she would find ANYTHING funny. :/)

Also, to a lot of other comments here, why are you assuming her wanting to "spice things up" means he's necessarily bad in bed? It could mean any number of things. Again, it takes two to keep a sex life exciting. I don't consider pushing the responsibility onto your partner to be "a sincere effort." If she doesn't take some initiative too-- and I'm talking about actually *doing* something new herself, not just asking him to-- she's got little room to criticize his attempts at fun.
