Today, I visited the hospital with my boyfriend to have an injury checked. When the doctor removed the band-aid, my boyfriend started screaming and passed out. I had to get him out of the room using a wheelchair. The "injury" is a cut on his finger. FML

Today, I went to the hospital emergency room to visit my boyfriend who had badly sliced his leg open. It ended with me being admitted with a possible head trauma, after hitting my head on the wall and floor as I collapsed at the sight of his wound. FML
Today, I fell off my boyfriend's motorcycle. I had a few scrapes and bruises, and my boyfriend called for an ambulance as a precaution. The paramedics managed to drop me on my head. FML
Today, my boyfriend was at my house to hang out. When he was leaving I thought it would be cute to run and jump on him to say goodbye. He fell and hit his head. He is now in the hospital with a concussion. FML
Today, my boyfriend knocked into me with his car. I drove myself to the hospital because he couldn't stop laughing long enough to drive. FML
Today, I broke my boyfriend's nose trying to pop his blackheads. His leg jerked in shock, kicked my leg, and I fell, breaking the mirror, cutting myself, and slamming into the bathroom sink. I woke up in the hospital, with over a hundred stitches, and my poor boyfriend in jail for suspected domestic abuse. FML
Today, I shattered my ankle while mountain biking with my boyfriend. As I lay writhing on the ground, waiting for the ambulance, he traced the outline of my thigh and said, "You should get this suctioned out while you're in the hospital." FML
Today, I wound up in hospital because my boyfriend covered my face in fake gore while I was sleeping, to see if I was really as scared of blood as I claimed. Sure enough, when I saw my reflection in the bathroom mirror, I fainted, smashing my head against the counter on the way down. FML
Today, I ran up to my boyfriend to kiss him when he got home from work. I tripped and I fell on him, and he fell backwards. He ended up hitting his head on the sidewalk and had to get stitches. He also had a concussion. FML
Today, I was feeling really sick when I was with my boyfriend at the park. When we were walking, I got really dizzy and collapsed. My boyfriend didn't catch me. His mom took me to the hospital. While I was being poked with needles, he was at home playing COD. FML
Today, I fell asleep on the couch and my boyfriend thought it would be cute to carry me to bed. He knocked my head on the door frame and I pretended it didn't hurt because he felt so bad, but I shouldn't have. I was rushed to the hospital hours later with a concussion. FML

As someone who has a few tattoos and piercings, I can tell you that it might not necessarily be the pain that set him off. Personally, I get light headed and nauseous when I see my own blood. Everyone else's blood is fine, something about seeing my own gets to me though.

The opposite can be true as well, I can stand to be in pain and bleeding everywhere without becoming even queasy. Yet at the same time I've nearly blacked out being with the wife while she got a piercing done.

Every one can have a phobia, some for blood , some for injuries and some for other odd things, it doesnt make the less human or in your view less manly. Phobia are irrational fears and are actually debilitating for the person who has them.

I'm gonna be the non-PC guy in this thread and say that the OP's boyfriend is definitely being melodramatic. 1) Why would a minor cut necessitate a hospital visit unless it has been infected? Typically, isopropyl alcohol will clean it and hydrogen peroxide will speed up the healing process. Then you can apply a Band-Aid and save yourself some money. 2) How bad is the cut? If he lopped off a portion of his finger and it required stitching, then I can understand partially. But yelling, passing out, and needing a wheelchair for what is likely the equivalent of a paper cut? Come on. Based on this, I would have to assume that the boyfriend doesn't do anything physical *ever* and overreacts to very minor things. OP is too kind; the guy is a pansy.

Some people just can't handle the sight of blood even when there is so little of it and/or it's their own. Also, cuts on the finger can sting like a bitch.

went iffy when I had my dressing changed after I cut the end off my finger, but not this bad. How bad was the cut!?
