Today, I asked out the girl who always looks and smiles at me in class. I was surprised when she rejected me until I found out she was actually always looking at the clock behind me, and smiling when class is almost over. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Today, at school, a cute girl kept glancing up at me, giggling, and looking away as soon as I looked at her. So naturally I walked up to her and asked if she wanted to go out sometime. She said she didn't like me, she was just laughing at how big a zit was on my forehead. FML
Wrong target
Today, I was hitting on a girl who was getting ready to walk into the same class as me. We were waiting outside the room, so I told her that I'd heard the professor for the course was a total bitch. We walked into the room. I sat down at a desk. She stood behind the podium. FML
Bad sign, huh?
Today, I went to my class as usual. I've had my eyes on one guy for a year now. A new girl came in and he was talking about her with his friends when my friend suggested me instead of her. He took a glance at me before turning back into the conversation making the same face I did when I saw a disintegrated frog that'd been run over. FML
Caught in the act
Today, I was on the computer in the library on campus. I was Facebook-stalking a really cute girl that I often see on campus. As I'm looking at her profile pictures, I turn around and the girl is standing right behind me. She gave me a disgusted look and walked off. FML
Today, my friend said he'd give me 20 bucks if I would ask out the ugliest girl in school. I did it. She rejected me. FML
Today, I finally got the courage to ask out a girl I've had a crush on for months now. She told me I was very cute and then walked off. I still don't have an answer. FML
Today, I asked out one of the girls that hangs out in my group of friends (the same group I have been hanging out for three years). She stared at me for a couple of seconds, then said, "Who the hell are you?" FML
Never leave evidence
Today, I asked my crush out, after a year of liking her. What did she do? She laughed, took a screenshot of it, and sent it to her friend. FML
You can't handle the truth!
Today, my friend told me she saw the girl I like at a single's night after I'd asked her out and rejecting me, for being in a complicated relationship. FML
Today, I got rejected by a girl I wasn't even trying to ask out. FML

So, you're saying we should all look if there is a clock behind us before coming up with conclusions when people smile at us? Who smiles at a clock, anyway?

Awww I'm sorry op. :( there are plenty of other fish in the sea :)

Who said he wants to date a fish?

Fine, there are plenty of other penguins in the sea. Everyone loves penguins.

Also, rivers and lakes are safer to find eligible fish, as they're not too enveloped nor affected by salt. Oceans and Sea's aren't and haven't always been naturally salty. That's all thanks to children *cough* and wildlife treating water supplies as their personal toilets.

She's so mean :(

You theory about the source of salt in the oceans is incorrect. As water flows in rivers, it picks up small amounts of mineral salts from the rocks and soil of the river beds. This very-slightly salty water flows into the oceans and seas. The water in the oceans only leaves by evaporating (and the freezing of polar ice), but the salt remains dissolved in the ocean - it does not evaporate. So the remaining water gets saltier and saltier as time passes. If you theory was correct then your toilet and municipal water treatment plants would be incredibly salty.

Ugh. I HATE how presumptuous men are sometimes. "She momentarily glanced in my general direction. She was checking me out! She laughed at my joke. She wants the D! She accepted my invitation to go to a public outing with a dozen other people we both know. She's madly in love with me!"

Well, it's understandable to see how OP could've been mislead...

Couldn't catch that sarcasm?
your_face 15
Not unless the clock was on his face. It's pretty easy to tell whether someone's looking at you or above you.
vipirius 18
Unless OP is tall and the clock is hung low.

maybe the clock was just on a desk near him or something. like on the teacher's desk.

27- lol you should see gay-or fabulous- guys, "He called me mate...I think he wants the D"

I feel like i have had a similar experience in my life. Don't sweat it. Almost copied #2 fish refference. Gotta start creating original sayins or something around here.

There's plenty of feces in the sewer, OP.

Maybe things between her and the clock won't work out. Fingers crossed.
